it depends on who will be my husband be...if his last name will be Gates, Hilton, or something more famous.. i might carry the last name.. lol..\ i do not still know.. but i want to at least carry my last name.. i remember when my professor, used to say, that you are like the property of your husband if you are carrying the last name of your husband... i might or might not carry the last name of my husband in the future...to give respect to the husband, i might put a dash on my last name...and his last name.. it's legal though to carry your last name if you want it..

When I got married I changed my last name to my husband's. I think it is the right thing to do. I did not want a name different from his or my children's. It is tradition to take the man's name. I don't know why women keep their names as I think it is confusing. I am proud to have my husband's name. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I never wanted to change my name when I got married. As an adult I took my mother's maiden name, and kept it when I got married. my husband and I were both happy with that decision, because neither one of us believed that a woman should have to change her name, just because she got married.

When My fiance and I get married I will be a Mrs. and thus have his same last name. I think that it is a matter of respect and honor to take the name of your fiance, although some men take the women's name, or some hypehnate it while others keep their last name for the sake of being respectful to their parents.

I just recently got married in November of 08. To this day, I use my married on some things but I still use my maiden name. This is mainly due to that I haven't went to get my SS card or DL changed. Where I have to go is two hours away and it is hard to find the time to go and get this done. I feel many carry their husbands name, you will see even many superstars will carry their husbands last name but "on screen" and all they will keep their maiden name for recognization.
