Who goes to Church?

Since today is Sunday, I was wondering how many actually go to Church. I mean I do go, but I tend to arrive late. Every Sunday. Do you go to Church on time or do you go just early enough to catch the Sermon and be back in time reply to your recent myLot responses or whatever else?

Yes, the Internet is full of interesting stuff, isn't it? Maybe you might be able to visit the fellowship during the Spring and Summer.. Thank you for commenting. - Cil

I stopped going to church a few months ago. I didn't stop going in general, but I stopped going to the church I was at. The pastor was very judgmental, and twisted God's Word to the point where, it was like HE was God! (He even said that one day during a sermon) Anyway, I've learned that you can have church even at home. That's what keeps me encouraged when I start thinking I need to go to church. I'm constantly listening to God's Word through music. I read about it, I discuss it with my family, I spend time with other Christians. God is always in my schedule, so I don't NEED to take a day out just to go to church when I always have the Lord involved in my life!

Wow, that sounds like an evolving Jim Jones! I'm glad that you still have God in your life. Maybe all he needs is prayer (a really strong, determined prayer group.) Keep praying jeneias, with God's help, he is most likely to turn about his ways. Thank you for the comment. :) -Cil

I don't think it matters that he doesn't go with you automatically. Just be persistent with going to church and you'll see him starting to go with you eventually. Try to explain what you learned and how it makes you feel and stuff. That's bound to get him curious. Let your actions and the way you think do the talking and he might want to know what Church is all about. You never know, maybe all he needs is a little push :).

I RESPECT ALL RELIGIONS That's good Cillysophie, your discussion really soothes my mind even though I am an agnostic. I respect all religions and the related religious practices, as all are good teaching and doctrines. Not much can say, actually, and with full respect I wish you good life.

It's been our family habit to attend church on time. I don't know. Sometimes it feels wrong if we don't go to church, like it's been a part of who we are.

It's good to attend every Sunday! I'm glad your family does it as a tradition! My family has just started going to Church together for about 2 months now. Frankly, I enjoy having everyone in the family there learning with me.

I agree with you, I think you should too. I don't think there's a real reason to stop going. I think we just don't like to face what the pastor is saying becaus some of it is sometimes oh so true and we don't like to reminded, but I think that's what helps you learn to live a better and more fulfilling life. Happy Mylotting! Thank you for the comment!

Cillysophie, Yes my husband and I go to church every Sunday. We are usually early because we like to greet people when they come in the door. Also I help in the children's class once a month, so I need to be there when the children get there. It doesn't really matter what day church is, because it is really just praising God. It could be done on Thursday at 10 pm if that is when the worshippers could be there.

Hi JABeau! I'm glad to see that people still take time to volunteer to help willingly. You show great dedication of a Christian. Thank you for taking time to comment and share!

I used not to go to church, so this year it had became my resolution to restart attending mass. And since I'm resolved in doing so, I come on time, or even earlier. A mass is a sure mark on my Sundays.

Aw that's great! I'm glad you find church/mass interesting. As you can tell, most people dread it until they actually come and they see that it's not that bad.
