Helium! How does it work?

Ok I joined helium no mind you I haven't been very active on anywhere but here and I'm not even that active here. But I joined Helium and then got confused straight away.. Usually it takes a lot more to cornfuzzle me but I have to admit that I'm not really sure how to work it and make anything there. Any one have a dummies guide to Helium? If so, could you help me out here.

I'd love to help you, but I don't find Helium a very easy site to navigate. I put in the occasional article and read a few whenever I go in. I also watch out for competitive writing, but I've never reached far enough to be paid by them. I have two stars, which should help boost payment, but I really don't know how it works. lol. Brightest Blessings my friend, in the hope somebody can throw some light on this for you.

You'll get there... I think you get paid by reads and ratings, but don't quote me on that.

I have already made like 4 cents. I'm taking it like I take this site I'm doing it for fun and eventually when I hit payout I'll be happy!!!

Thanks hun I'm working on it and I got some pretty good answers from the first response here. But I will say it is a bit difficult to navigate.. Me and Cyn are trying though LOL!!!
