Have you ever seen a falling star? Did you make a wish? What was it?

I remember when I was little and I heard the rhyme that goes "starlight, starbright, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, Have this wish i wish tonight. One time while we had been travelling all day and half the night, I saw the first star and i wished on it. I said the rhyme and then I said, I wish we could get a motel for the night because i am so tired of riding. Well my dad pulled into a motel, right after that. (he didn't hear me because thought it and didn't say it aloud) So I felt like my wish had been granted. As far as falling stars, I have never thought of a wish when i saw one although I have seen a few. What about you?? Ever seen a falling star?? or a first star? Did you make a wish?? What did you wish for??

Falling stars are beautiful. I've seen many and have wished on many. Twice in my life I have wished on 'first stars', one came true and one really, really didn't. But I can't tell you what my wishes were... gasp , isn't that against the rules??

I've never seen a falling star twinny much as I would love to but I have wished on a first star - can't tell you what I wished for ( as it is supposed to stay secret for ever and I don't want to lose what I wished for) but it did come true! This made me think of the song @Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket, save it for a rainy day' and now I am singing it out loud - kids won't be happy if I wake them up singing! lol, xxxxxxxx

I made my first wish when 16...my wish was for Prince on white horse.... I get white horse instead when 18....not for my own, but at least to play with. My price is gone, so is my wish....

Yes, I have seen many times falling stars. The first time I wished that I had more 2 wishes. It seemed not realized. Since then I've just enjoyed watching without wishing.

Hello mssnow! I have seen a falling star lots of time. When I was young, I waited for it to show up on the sky. I was very happy everytime I saw stars and I never want to miss wishing.

I have seen a few fallen stars in my day but never did they ever grant my wish, like I wanted. Then again sometimes what we take as being fallen stars are in all reality planes that are flying high in the sky. Not saying that I do not believe in the power of a wish I think that sometimes our wishes are granted. I will not say what I wished for but that it is slowly coming true.

I've seen several falling stars as I tend to study the Moon quite a lot and these things happen from time to time. I've never made a wish upon one though, that I can recall. I have wished upon the stars, but falling stars happen so quickly that I've never even had time to think about it. Brightest Blessings my friend.

Well, I doubt it's me, my friend as your moon rises at a different time, some eight hours after ours! ha ha ha.

I have seen many falling stars. I always make wishes on the falling stars. I can't tell you what my wishes were because then they won't come true. LOL I like to make wishes on the first star of the night also. Do you always make the same wish or do you make different wishes?

Ok, know it's an old discussion but oh well - I've seen hundreds of falling stars over the years and I always make a wish, that's what your supposed to do :) at least where I come from :) Last winter when I was staying at my sister's she had a hot tub and her and I were out in the middle of the night relaxing and enjoying. Saw 3 falling stars in one night... so far none of my wishes have come true :(

You know what? I don't think I ever saw a falling star? I remember spending lot's of time looking at the sky at night when I was a kid. Maybe to find the elusive falling star, but I don't think I ever saw one. So had no chance to make the wish. But I will still like to see one at least :)

I saw a falling star once. I was about 14 at the time. If I remember right I had been with one of my cousins who had been driving somewhere. However, I don't remember if I made a wish or not. It was 20 years ago, after all! LOL I never tried wishing on a first star, though I've seen a few before. Happy mylotting!

I have seen several falling stars, and have made a wish on several of them, but none of my wishes have ever been granted. I have pretty much given up hope of that old idea ever working.
