Is there something that no matter how many you have or something that you get once in a while you have to save the box??... or a certain bag, or the cardboard that is inside the box ...etc... I have this thing for shoe boxes... I use them for storing things from my books to things I put up in the attic or sometimes they are the best box for a gift since it will throw off the person recieving the box... We have started cleaning out our back room again, and there were 2 shoeboxes in there and hubby gave them to me since he knew not to throw them out because I will use them... this got me thinking... what do you save?

I do keep the shoesboxes and don't want to just take out the shoes and throw away the boxes, I should have more than 30 shoesboxes if I didn't move home, and now even when I buy new shoes, I am still keeping them hehe. And the other thing that I like to keep is shopping bag whatever it is paper or plastic.

I am a pack rat, it's just know dawning on me how much of a junk saver I truely am. I save boxes, bags, anything and everything that I MIGHT can use later. And though they do come in handy when I need them, I am running out of places to stash them out of view of people that come to the house. I hate having a cluttered mess some place that visitors can see, drives me nuts. I have just started to do spring cleaning, and just about everything I have saved since the last major clean, throw away day, I am pitching because I have no need for it, but when I do.. I'll know right where to find it, in the local dump and get mad as heck that I pitched it, lol.

I'm very sad to say I save nearly everything. I always think "that could be used for something". I've started "spring cleaning" and couldn't believe some of the things I've run across that I saved. Because of my health I wasn't able to do the thorough cleaning the past 2 years and there's "stuff" that I'm positively sure can be used for "something", but my house is only so big, so some if has to go!

I have a bit of a habit of keeping things too... I am going to be spring cleaning in the next couple weeks and I really need to get rid of some things, I really do...LOL thanks for the response.

i am the opposite of a saver. i get mad at myself but i really throw away stuff that i probably should save. if i save a box it is because i have an immediate plan for it. i grew up with pack rats that came from pack rats and although my home isn't sparse there really isn't "extra" stuff hanging around. if i don't have a plan for something it goes out. i mostly follow up on my plans.

I think that is great, I need to eliminate alot in my small house, we have too much as it is... but I have a hard time getting rid of things...LOL but if I want to get organized and simpler with life, I have to let go of things .... thanks for the response.
