old man on the street

my husband saw an old man on the interstate near our town with is pants down just walking down the street. he told the state troopers they checked it out and said he was not quiet rite just an old vetran.my heart hurt for him .just an old vetran that was sad now how do we handle these things after all they have done for us i know some are not the way they were when they left us and when they return and in time become like this how do we help?i think it is realy sad and we should go out of our way to try and take care of them. it was pretty clear this man mantally needed help.i cant even amagine what some of these sweet unselfish people have seen and gone threw helping us .i have always had a place in my heart for these people . we just dont hear enough of what we do for them every day. we welcome them home when they come back honor vetrens day and in between forget about them.how can we help them more?
