Hi There!Inspired by Frank R.Stockton's story 'The lady or the tiger'I have been wondering all along what I will do in case I face the situation of the princesss in the story. In this story there are two doors and the princess procured the secret behind which door stood the tiger and behind which waited a beautiful lady. The youth whom she loved passionately had the option to enter one door and he did not know which door lead to what. The princess was bewildered how to bear the sight of her lover being devoured by the fiercest hungry beast or being married to the fairest lady of the kingdom.Yet she gave the signal. Its left to the readers to answer. If I was the princess I would signal him the door leading to the tiger I think. He might defeat the tiger and come back to me.....but the beautiful woman????He will never be mine again then!! What would you do in case you are in place of the princess and your lover(or spouse) has to choose one door?

In that story it is also written that he fancies this other girl. Now why should I carry on with a person who fancies another girl? I would rather not have a bloddthirsty gory scene right in front of my eyes or even out of eyesight.I would prefer to go my way .He is welcome to her!

Oh!Suddenly I became my own self instead of the princess! The question was what i would do as the princess is it not?So I would show the woman to him and banish him from my kingdom .If that is the sort of faithfulness he can show to a beautiful princess[Now I forget her character actually-I remember that she wa s a very fair maiden but was she a good person?]whatever, let him get lost!

What a tigress your husband has for his wife Supriya dear!I am sure he is warned now that he has seen the discussion of yours.[though of course I know he is Ramaincarnate But coming back to the story, even if he really defeats the tiger, the prince is not going to choose you [like in the poem'The glove and the lion' and you run the risk of that [if you were the princess].

Heartless!Heartless! So you are saying that you would not be a modern Nalayini. Show this to your husband and he will know what a terror he has for his wife![My husband gets highly tickled when I talk in such terms]

I would like to my lady to go to that door, where a handsome man is hiding, instead of tiger, because there is every possibility that if the tiger is a man eater, the tiger may finish my lady and it will be very difficult to fight the beast, without anything in hand. However, I am sure the handsome man may not be able to win her, because he will not have those traits and positive qualities, which I possess and he cannot love as much my lady, as I do.
