Aren't you afraid of walking alone in the middle of the night?

Yes! I am only happy in my own home after dark. Idon't walk anywhere alone at night for many years. If I have to go somewhere in the car by myself then that's better but I'm still not easy about it. Anything could happen and I might break down and who knows who or what might be in the area. If I have to go out in the evenings then usually friends arrange that we take turns to pick each other up so that none of us are alone. When I'm working my shift finishes at midnight and I then have a drive from one side of town to the other which takes less than 10 minutes and that doesn't bother me as it's all a lit up area and lots of police about at that time of night. If I was without my car I would get a taxi or stay overnight at work if there was a room free rather than walk it in the dark - no thanks!

I feel comfortend by the dark becuase I have very good visability (relatively speaking) during the night, so often I can see people before they see me. However I feel it depends on where you live, when I am it is still quite safe... we have maybe... 1 murder every... 10 years?

I'm not comfortable walking around too much at night. You just don't know what type of person is lingering waiting for a perfect target to walk by to try and steal something for you or worse. I will walk alone at night if I have to, but I definitely do not like doing so. I walk fast and walk in lit pathways to make it safer.

Yes, I guess I am. That is why I rarely go out at night without my hubby. When I go out with friends they pick me up at the door. And drop me off afterwards also at the door. You cannot be too careful.

It all depends on area which you live, if there are lots of dogs around your area they can make anyone run at night.
