Is the "task" thing going on already?

Hey, I just want to ask this very simple question...and obviously, that's already the subject of the discussion, so... Well, has anybody ever done a task? Is it really going on already? Is it as easy as pie or as hard as creating a homebrew game and hunting publishers to publish the game? Thanks. And how much can we earn from this eh? Heehee. On a side note if I were to use that line about the homebrew game and post it on other sites, I think I'd be seeing lots of "LOL on publishers to PUBLISH" thing going on.
