Doctors, Ugh!!

My son had a doctors appointment yesterday, his appointment was for 9 am. I made it early so he would not miss much of school and we would be her first appointment. We sat in the waiting room until 9:10 while the nurse and the receptionist chatted about the night before. Then when we got back there, they left our door open so we saw that the doctor did not even get there until 9:30. Why make the appointment before the doctor even gets there. So of course it was 9:45 before she even came in and her waiting room was already full. It just seems that they don't have any concern for your time, only theirs. About 7 years ago, at a different doctor, they took us back, and we waited and waited. It was so quite outside the room so I got up and went out, only to find everyone went to lunch. The doctor was sitting at his desk eating his lunch. They had forgot that we were in the room. So of course we had to wait for everyone to come back from lunch. They just make me so mad.

I will NEVER understand why doctors make you wait the way they do. It's really not fair , especially since most people are in there and need to get out to go back to work or in your case go back to school.

I empathize... Some doctors have a lethargic attitude towards their patients! They simply do not seem to understand that they are not the only ones who have social life. Their patients also have a life and other responsibilities on them such as in your case, your son had to attend school. In the second case you mentioned, that he was having lunch and ignored you. I am pretty sure that you must be hungry as well, and this foolish attitude kept you from having lunch till you got over with the appointment. I hope some doctor reads this post and changes his attitude towards his patients. If not that at least becomes punctual.....
