Here is a bag of my Christmas Icicle lights that I finally took down from my houses eaves out front. Now I have the garage lioghts left yuet. Already Spopring here and OI still have some lights up. And we got some snow and ice today here in Minnesota as well. Do you still have your lights up? Do you have spring like weather or still getting a wintery mix like me? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Spring is fast here in Oklahoma. Two weeks ago my garden was dormant. Now my hostas are coming up, the clematis has gone from twigs to full leaf and buds, and everything else is following suit. This is also redneck country, where many people leave lights up year round. People with white lights decorate around them for the various holidays and light them up for St Patty's Day, Easter, Cinco de Mayo, etc. I've learned since moving down here that lights aren't just for Christmas anymore...lol.

We have many house around here that have all white lights still up. In fact the street that my wifes restaraunt is on is called "EAT STREET" and has maybe 50 restaraunts on it and the trees all have white lights and lit up all year long I think. One neighbor near me lights her house for each Holiday type like Easter, Patty days, Valentines etc. Too much work for me I say. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

You know those white icicle lights that are so popular at Christmas? Imagine the money that could be made by a smart decorations company to make snap on decorations commemorating various holidays. The decorations could snap over the last couple of lights on some of the strands. Hearts for Valentines Day, shamrocks for St Patty's, etc. And why wait for holidays? Pink snap-on ribbons for cancer awareness, yellow snap-on ribbons in support of our soldiers overseas...etc. They sure would be easy to use and store, wouldn't they?

we are entering spring weather on friday it will be in the 60's I believe. It is about time, lol, and we don't start planting until early may and sometimes the ground is still too cold for planting cause the weather could still change.

We've had days very near 70 alreaqdy. That's what I hate about March in Minnesota. It can be sunny and 70 one day. Then the next day it can be 20 with a blixxard etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Thank goodness, I think it's spring! We have rain today and I only need a sweater outside, it's 54 right now. I hope the cold weather is over. The trees are budding, the grass is getting green and my tulips are coming up!

Oh, good, I thought it was just me! I still have some lights out on the bushes, and I was supposed to get rid of them before the development started having the landscapers come again for the spring. (I heard them outside yesterday. Ooops!! ) Luckily I think the snow and ice is over for us, of course then again it is March so that could change next week. It's been in the 40s and 50s lately, with a couple of days in the 60s last week. Hopefully that will be the last of the snow for you too.

First off, I did not delete you as a friend. myLot has glitches still and one of them seems to be deleting friends at random. You're not the first. Anyhow, it is cold here wioth snow sometimes into April so I wait till it's warm to take mine down. This is the latest they've been up in the 6 years we've owned the house too. It's in the high 30's and we had snow and ice this morning. I have a discussion about that as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Ahh I didn't know about the friend glitch! Should not surprise me, I guess. I didn't take it personally anyway, just missed your discussions! I also like to wait until it is warm to take them down, but I think per the development's rules they should've been down by now...maybe I ought to go do that now, before it rains.

Hey Grandpa Bob! At least you got some of the lights down! Do you think it will ever stop snowing where you live? lol We are still having chilly temps, but thankfully haven't seen anymore snow! It is still going down to the low thirties and sometime is in the low 50's during the day, but mostly stays in the low 40's. Still not quite spring weather here yet either! I am hoping that maybe April will bring a bit more of the spring weather!

I don't put lights up as I think I mentioned before. We've had some beautiful Spring weather here, but alas, today, it has been raining all day. It's a good thing for the gardens though as we've had nigh on a month of sunny weather with very little rainfall. Brightest Blessings my friend.

We didn't put lights up but I have noticed that most of the people have taken theirs down. There is no excuse here for not taking them down due to weather like you have had. We have been having spring like weather for some time now but ever so often still a chill in the air at night, well a chill for us down here. haha
