Emailing and texting is really hurting the postal service

These days most people do not write letters, they email and text. The postal service is losing lots of money because of the lack of snail mail usage. We have e-cards now, so many people do not even mail greeting cards. Besides bills, I do not receive any real mail through the post office anymore. Even paying bills can be done online, and people are not mailing their bill payments in. When is the last time you used the postal service?

Postal service here in my country is still active since there still some companies who use it. Like magazine subscription, bank statements, snailmails from relatives abroad. I think it doesnt really hurt them since less work and meaning more efficient for them to deliver the mails on time. Unlike before it would take weeks or even months to receive the letters.

For sending packages only do I go to the post office. I have no other way to do that. You're right, snail mail is becoming a thing of the past unless a person has no computer. Some people still use the post office for mailing holiday cards though. I see a lot of them during holiday season specially the grandparents out there. Most of them are still old fashioned and I think that's ok. What's really hurting are the newspaper deliveries as we saw them on the news closing down because a lot of people rather read headline news online or watch the 7 o'clock news at night. I'm one of them.

We do most of our bill paying online. I hardly ever go to the post office unless I need to send a package. I think that is the way with most people now days.

Well, I didn't use e - pay, so I still mail my payment through mails. I still have to purchase stamps from post office. It is a fact that I do not send letters through mail anymore. I only done it through computer. It is convenient, and way of fast communication.
