Do you stand up for others? If someone is being bullied do you try to stop it? If someone is spreading propaganda do you stand up and stop it? If someone is being hurt do you try to help them? Or do you sit silently doing nothing? Does your help stop in the real world or do you extend it online? Namaste-Anora

No, I will not. Although, this would look awkward but I am not that strong enough to even encounter being me bullied. I could not help myself in school or college. was always being scared of being bullied. That feeeling is inside me till now also. These days, I have learnt to encounter to an extent but I can surely not stand for others. For that I need bravery and courage, whcih I am lacking. Sorry.

I'm so sorry for your experience and that someone did not come to your aid who could have helped. I understand the fear, and I do wish you peace that one day that fear will be gone. Know you are valued and loved as a person. Namaste-Anora

If someone is being wrongly accused of something then yes I do stick up for them. I have never come across bullies but I have come across mobbing at work. Istood up for the colleague at the time even risking my own position but I couldn't just keep quiet. Whenever their is unfairness and cheating then I say my bit and do whatever I can to help resolve the situation and let good take the place of evil. I am the same online and off as I do not treat the two as different. We are all real people sitting at a computer and it traspires over time just how we are offline; the same as online.

So many do I'm sure. They call this the 'virtual world' as though it was run by robots. We are the robots and we are responsable for their actions.

I so agree. I sometimes wonder if people forget that there is someone else very real sitting on the other side reading the words they are typing, you know? Thanks for sharing and Namaste-Anora

I don't feel the need to stand up for others,People must stand up for themselves, but I have no problem challenging things that don't make sense.

I do tend to be the one that will stand up for others when I feel the need arise. It especially bothers me if it is an elderly person or someone who is handicapped. I can't stand for these people to be abused.

Jenn- That truly bothers me to. We've a case going on right now in Minnesota involving two high school girls abusing elderly under their care in a nursing home. The violations are too graphic for Mylot. I was and still am disturbed two high school students could think their behavior was even "normal", and that their parents were supporting them. It's just sad. These were people who could not stand up for themselves. It's good to know you're willing to stand up for the elderly. Thanks for responding. Namaste-Anora

I try and stand up for others if I see a situation I can do something about. I hate seeing people bullied or pushed around, it makes me crazy! In real life and online, I try and help people if I can, and I'd like to think others would return the favor

Corty- I try to help out as much as possible, but I admit sometimes it hurts just to do it. I'm not sure I fully understand the need to bully, but I definately know we have to stand up for those who cannot do it for themselves. Thanks for sharing. Namaste-Anora

Yes I do as a victim of bullying myself I know how it feels especially when your alone but I would fight back though.I have no tolerance for people who pick on others so they can feel better about themselves.I stand up for my friends always.I try to get involved as best I can.I would feel guilty if I just stood there in silence without attempting to do something if I saw it.I have helped out a couple of friends who were dealing with cyber bullies and trolls on the net I am a good natured person at heart, but if you mess with my friends you mess with me.I will always have my friends back and stick by them.

Faery- I treat my online friends the same way I treat my offline friends, so I agree completely. I will defend friends online just as I would offline, and have done so on many occassions. I've also stood up for those whom I didn't know because it was right, and made new friends in the process. Thanks for responding, and thanks for standing up for those around you. Namaste-Anora

As long as I can remember, I have always stood up to bullies. I remember how it was in school when I was a kid and when I saw bullies pick on the smaller kids or kids that were different, I use to get in the bullies face's and tell them to back off, I was pretty fearless and since I was a girl, I never got into trouble and the bully ( which was usually a guy) would get suspended or sent home. I use to get into a lot of physical fights with guy's and often I use to beat the crap out of these bullies and I got a rep of being tough and I use to get asked all the time to fight for other people and I would often turn down the fights because if it had nothing to do with somebody bullying another person then I didn't see it a point to bother ..I can't stand seeing people getting unjustly treated by bullies, I have almost always rooted for the underdog... Online speaking, I haven't really seen any bullying,( besides silly people on youtube calling names back and forth..lol) but once here at mylot somebody attacked me and before I knew about it other people jumped in before I had a chance to reply back..LOL.. But I did give this person a piece of my mind after 3 other people chewed him out.
