I'm so glad to have finally gotten around to redoing our bathroom. Hubby loved it the way it was when we first bought the place so I left it even though I didn't like it one bit. NOW he really likes it!! lol Of course so do I! It's much much softer now and decorated with birds, butterflies and flowers. I found a beautiful shower curtain and the idea suddenly took off! lol It has three rows of flowers going up and down and then one going across the top and it looks like a sheer window curtain with a flap on top which is where the flowers go across. Plus hubby's brother made a new counter top and hubby got a new sink and faucet. I wish I could show all the pictures here and all at once but I'll have to upload them when you respond. Shucks!! LOL I'll put them all together on my home page so you can see them all there but here's one! Have you ever redone any room of your house? Do you like changing the rooms around? I do, it's a lot of fun! Besides, seeing the same thing time after time after time gets right boring!

Your bathroom looks very nice. I like to redo mine every now and then but my guest bathroom just stays as it was as it does not get used so much as my bathroom.

Just above the shower curtain - Here's the butterflies that I cut off a stick that was to be put outside as a decoration but I used wire cutters to cut them off and hung them on the wall! And the butterfly wind chime that I bought too.
A change of scenery is right nice every now and then. Some people don't like change at all but I can't stand seeing the same thing over and over and over again. I've got to have a change every few years or I'll go batty!! lol This is actually the hall bathroom, the main bathroom. I do need to do the master bathroom too and will some day when I find the right shower curtain. I want something that's going to grab my attention but not be loud so I wait till I find it then I'll know what color paint to get. Here's another picture of my bathroom. All the others have been posted above here so check them out and tell me what you think! The bird pictures I got through collectionsetc.com for dirt cheap!! When they came in, I was so shocked at the size and beauty of them that I had to separate them because I didn't have a wall big enough to handle all three and the way I put them up, they look really good!! Then over the tub I got two stick like things that you put in your yard as a decoration and it had a butterfly on each which I took some wire cutters and cut the butterflies off and hung them on the wall with a wicker heart that I decorated with flowers. And I got a butterfly wind chime which is absolutely beautiful and I got it on sale through the same place, collectionsetc.com. That catalog is fantastic!! So is the craft store! LOL I never thought of myself as an interior decorator but this lady who we bought the house from in Arkansas said that I was because she loved how we did her old house because it was ours then. She said I should try to get a job doing this sort of thing. lol I'll admit, I love doing it.

My New Shower Curtain - This picture didn't turn out as I expected it to but you can pretty much tell what it looks like. It's a sheer curtain so I had to get a liner for it. It's a ribbon design and if you turn it over, you'd see the ribbon going in and out making those beautiful flowers....
Yours sounds right nice Polly! I had seashells when we lived in Texas because it was the only thing that would match the tile in our bathroom! lol I had bought about four shower curtains to try and that's the only one that really looked good. We had it for six years and so when we moved to Arkansas, I was tired of that pattern and went with the wildlife/camping theme which was really nice too but when we bought this house in NC, it was already decorated in seashells with teal and white kind of mixed together wallpaper on the wall and a border at the very top then it had yellow window and shower curtains which I hated because it was too loud but hubby loved it and asked to keep it so I did for a little over two years but now it's time for a change and he really likes how I've done it up. I put one picture up above and I'm putting another up here too for you to see. Someone told me I should try to get a job as an interior decorator because I'm good at it. lol I do love doing it but I'm fine doing it for myself unless someone asks me to do it for them then maybe I will but for now, I keep it at home. lol

I looked at the other pics, it all looks so pretty. I have a big full size window in my bathroom, I use a shower curtain as a curtain for that. Its the perfect size and I like the shower curtain.

When we first moved her about 8 years ago we did do a lot of work on the house but not really since and it is badly needing it! The kids rooms being done in the next few months but nothing fancy - new high sleeper beds with wardrobes and desks underneath and more grown up decoration - they are too old for what they have now and space is at a premium! Nice job on your bathroom! xxx

There is a type of children's furniture that I saw that I found to be right neat and that's the type that can be converted from a crib to a big kid's bed to a grown up kids bed. Maybe you should check into that idea so you won't be spending a whole lot of money in changing it all the time, you could be using the same furniture just changing it is all. Thanks for your nice comment on my bathroom! I also put some pictures up on my home page to show how the upstairs works.... the staircase is different in how to get to it and it's hard to explain unless you were to see it in person or through pictures.... xxxx to you too!

I know the furniture you mean honey but my kids are 15 and 7 now so I am a bit late! lol They are really excited about the thought of the high sleeper beds and things so that is good and it helps in terms of saving space too. Hugs xxx

Hey cats! I'm glad that you finally got your bathroom done too! I know that you really wanted to change it up a bit! I finally changed mine too after many years of having the same colors I decided I wanted to have something different and I did! I now have a blue and white bathroom with different shades of blue instead of black, grey and white! Of course the grey tile is still there, but I did away with black! It is much brighter now and I love it!

This is from another angle - This is the other side of the bathroom, right by the door
Oh that sounds so pretty Opal! Blue certainly is a pretty color! I've never understood what people see in black other than in clothes because it's such a depressing color. I knew a couple who decorated their whole house in black! Their whole house!! Kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom all in black!! It was overwhelmingly depressing! UGH! Maybe A room would be fine but every room in their house? Oh gosh.... Here's another picture of my bathroom. The bird pictures I got through collectionsetc.com for dirt cheap!! When they came in, I was so shocked at the size and beauty of them that I had to separate them because I didn't have a wall big enough to handle all three and the way I put them up, they look really good!!
