What is the average battery life of a laptop?

That's not bad. Since I have used my laptop for over a year. So the battery can last about 1.5 hours only. I love China

Hi! The average battery life of my laptop is 7 hours. But, it has just recently started going down to just a few hours, because my laptop is 5 years old. Most laptops only last about 3 hours. So, I am happy that my laptop did get above average of 7 hours for many years. I believe 7 or 8 hours is the longest any laptop gets. The brand new Apple is suppose to get about 8 hours.

I have HP Compaq Laptop. At the time of purchase the battery life was 2 hour. Now it just run for 45 minutes without power.

2-3 hours? The average life of my laptop battery is 2 hours and 15 minutes. Quite weak though.. I dont know if I can find a longer life laptop batter than my present one..

My full charge laptop can stay online about 3 hours, its only for surfing the net but for playing games its only about 1 and half hour.

It depends on the usage and age of the battery. If it is new one, the back up capacity of the battery will be more and if it is old, also it will not last long. Mine, when bough new, will withstand up to 2-3 hours after a full charge, but now it will not last for more than 30-40 minutes.I have to connect the charger always inline and the mobility of my laptop went away as I am not able to move anywhere.Also this depends on the make of the battery. At most, I have seen in my friends laptop, while it withstanding for about 5 hours, without connecting to the charger.But his is a new one and make Dell.

The max hours or 8 hours ..average is 3 to 4 hours. still your batter is working fine. no need worry.

3 hours is about the average battery life for new battery. After a period of time, the battery life time will get shorter and shorter. Of course you can buy extended battery, but it looks ugly, bulky and it adds to the laptop's weight.
