if someone offend you,how will you do?

in our daily life and work,we will face some unthinkable matters.
sometimes,somebody don't know the details,and misunderstand you,
lose his temper and get angry to insult you.
how will you do? to explain or other ways?

I have the tendency to approach the person in a very private manner and let him explain to me why he behaves that way. I really feel uneasy if somebody will do something bad towards me, without me knowing what's really going on or if I did something that might have offended him. SOmetimes, if it's just not really a big deal, I just let it pass and SMILE.

well,speaking for me...if someone who misunderstanding me cause my fault,i think i will explan it and make sure he or she can understand what i say. but if he or she insult me and say a bunch of bad work to me i guess i cannot do this by that way even thought that is my mistake to made it happened.

well it depend on how, they can sit there yell and scream and call me a bunch of bad names, i'll just laugh at them for the most point but if i am in a bad mood i would have to remove myself from them.
i will express myself to people that does this. and tell them straight up to stop being a jerk
