Do you like to dip your cookies in milk?

We all have seen this tradition. I tried eating my cookies this way, and I did not too much like it. It left my cookies wet and soggy. It has to be eaten quickly. I would rather just eat my cookies on a plate and then have a cold glass of milk on the side of me. I would just eat my cookies without dipping it in the milk. So, how do you like to eat your cookies? Dipping or just by consuming it seperately? Please share your likes and dislikes. Thanks!

Yes I do like to dip my cookies in milk and eat.The most anxious moment is taking the cookie out of the milk without it dropping into the cup.

Yes I love to dip cookies/biscuits in milk especially if it is cold milk. Very nice and yummy to eat. And if it's a chocolate cookie, by the time I dip the 4th or 5th piece the milk is turning into chocolate milk................yummy

Hi there. Well, though dipping cookies in milk is okay, I prefer simply drinking the milk alongside eating the cookies. That way, I could enjoy the taste of both.

Hi cream. I tried dipping a chocolate chip cookie in milk because my daughter always dips her cookies in milk, I didn't like it that much either. I prefer eating it separately. Thanks. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi cream! If my cookies are soft I just like eating them seperately but if they are hard cookies then I like to dip them in milk.

hi cream97, my dear friend, i love cookies and i love homemade cookies a lot. i love the smell of them when they are freshly made. i love to bake cookies and i have learnt them from my parents . they make awesome cookies. i dont like them dipping in milk or anything and then eating them. i think they loose their original taste. whatever the cookie may be.i never liked that taste. i rarely take milk , and if i take, i like to have a glass of either cold milk or milk shake.

I love it. It softens them enough, and they melt in the mouth and I love it that way. Sometimes when I get up early or I'm sitting up late studying, I follow this tradition because it fills the stomach just enough to be quiet till morning arrives and I can have a normal and heavy breakfast. Sometimes I eat them just like that and I like em that way too, but if I got milk, then I stick to the wet cookie part, than a normal cookie. bourne

not really.I like to eat cookies with milk.but I don't dip my cookies.I know Oreo promotes the "twist, lick, and dunk" thing, but I'm not really into it.

YUM! i love dunking my cookies in milk, its sooo tasty in my opinion! I just have to watch out and be careful when getting the cookie out of the milk so it doesn't break into my milk lol they are absolutely lovely, i could just eat some with milk right now :) x

I normally don't dunk my cookies in milk, but, if you are going to do that the best cookies to do that with are Oreo Cookies!! Also, when I was younger I also loved dunking buttered toast in milk too! Yummm! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

I love to dip my cookies in milk. I don't care for the dryness of most cookies but the milk makes them moister and brings back fun childhood memories. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

There was a time when I used to consume milk. But no longer do I do that.So eating cookies dipping it in pure milk is out of question as I don't prefer it that way.it makes the cookies very wet and soggy as you said and ruins the taste. But sometimes I do dip it if it is tea or coffee.

Hi cream dear! Most of the time, I eat the cookies first then have a glass of milk to wash it down. But there were a few times that I get to dip it in my milk when the mood for it struck. However, this is only on rare moments. haha.. Take care and blessings to you. lovelots..faith

No, I haven't done this before. It's not something that we do here, as far as I know. I'm not too keen on milk anyway, so I think it would definitely spoil the cookie for me! When we were growing up though lots of people (mainly older people I think), dipped (or "dunked") their biscuits (cookies) in their tea. My grandma always used to do this and she used to encourage us to do it too. We mainly did it with quite plain, crunchy biscuits like Rich Teas or Digestives, and the tea kind of added somthing to them. But sometimes if we left them in too long, they broke, and you'd end up with a load of mush at the bottom of your cup.. Happy days!
