mylot is giving away so much money!

have you ever wondered how mylot can afford it? with the new "tasks" feature, mylot is going to give away a lot of money.
if mylot members receive about ten dollars each per month, then ten dollars multiplied by the number of members equals $1,660,960 per month (and counting)!
how and where do websites like mylot get their revenues? do they actually profit from our discussions? if they do, then they must be earning a whole lot of gross profit, since they still have us to pay.
why do websites like mylot exist? i'm not only talking about discussion forums; i'm talking about those that actually pay you depending on your forum activities.
oh well, just a few musings. i'm sure you've asked yourselves the same questions... or have you? and have you found the answers to these questions?

Great post mate, really a great one, but the thing is, they must be getting twice of it some how, they must be getting, or else there's no possible way to run such a site, And the tasks thing you mentioned, really its just something like giving away money, but the count of members are increasing day by day, thats what is the possible aim of the site, so they are having what they want

i'm sure they are geting loads more of money. ^_^ otherwise, we wouldn't even be paid. still, it makes me wonder how much exactly they are getting. a million dollars a month? more?
lucky mylot administrators... you're all so rich by now, lol ^_^ thanks for giving us a chance to earn as well. more tasks, please! ^_^

In fact there is quota in the tasks. For example, if it allows 200 people join it, after that, the task is unavailable. Mylot has paid for me nearly 2 years. I think this is a good website. If it can offer us one more chance to earn extra, I think it has its plan well.

Mylot won't pay the money out... that's just a fraction of what they're getting paid by the people who are setting the tasks for Mylot members. They used to do it on another site I belonged to where you went and commented on blogs, etc. The site gets payment as well as you, and it comes from those who request the work.

I had actually been thinking about this for a long time and i think they get it from those who post banners in the site. But i think i dont see enough banners here where mylot could get its money to pay its memebers unless mylot is being financed by someone rich and generous enough to just give away his/her money to its members.
Do you know where mylot gets its money to pay its members?

Hi sandra! I have wondered the same thing myself! I do wonder
myself how mylot can make money enough to pay us! Eveny though
they don't pay us each alot of money it still does add up
to quite alot of money when you think of how many people that
there are on this site! I have no idea how they do make their
money and enough to pay us and keep the site running! It is
definitely a mystery and I think one that we will never have
the answer to!

I've no idea how mylot works this out.I dont know how mylot profit from our activities.There must be a lot of work for mylot administrators.

The figure you present here about mylot paying every months to its member is not exactly right as per the statistics we see there are 166,098 member but among this i think few thousand would be active here and few of them would making minimum cash out every month.
But the question is how the site afford to pay, from where these revenue comes from and how much mylot would making every month, i too wonder about this and suppose that some revenues must come from adds.

i'm aware not all of the members are active, that's why i said 10dollars a month instead of 40dollars (as i am earning around 40 dollars a month). i'm assuming that 10 dollars is a fair average to compensate for those who are not active, given that some members (like my cousin) earn 10 dollars in just a week of mylotting. ^_^
also, the statistics given by whiteheather may be helpful, but it does not say how many members actually go to the site per month. for example, 5000 mylotters are here today, then another 5000 are here tomorrow, and 5000 are here again the next day, and so on. this may seem like only 5000 are online for the entire month... but what if the first 5000 on day 1 are DIFFERENT USERS from the 5000 who are online on day 2? if only the statistics shows how many DIFFERENT users are online for an a=netire month... ^_^
like i said, the 10 dollars is an estimate. before the advent of tasks, i would have said the average would be 3 dollars... but the tasks have provided us with the chance to make a lot of earnings. either way, i don't think any mylotter can come up with an exact amount, lol ^_^

I've also asked the same question myself! but i'm really thankful i came across mylot. I just hope that mylot would give a higher profit for every disscussions and tasks. hehe =P

they probably get paid for the discussions by companys
it saves them a job sending out survays so they jut pay forums like this for the stuff they find
e.g. bout foods, cosmetics
then the ppl who own these companys make products that suit the people
mite not be that, but just a thought

It is impossible for mylot to pay one million dollar per month considering it is only a small website with only one hundred and sixty hthousands of members now .I estimate the costs of managing it is only one hundred of thousands dollar per month .Maybe the income have one million dollar .So the operator have enough resource to use and make the website become more better .

Well i really would like to earn some extra money .Can someone tell us how to do that i joined and so far i earned a whole 6 cents :D. And i do not know how i did that .I hope one of the old timers around here can give us newbies some advice.

i think because while making discussions and the more people are joining ratings of this website becomes higher and the profit they get is from the many subscriber that pays for the internet connections.
