fried?

are steaks all grilled? that's what i've been seeing on tv and reading in cookbooks. however, i grew up with the meat being fried by my mother to which soy sauce with red onions are added to. is this the same as yours?

I have to say that when I am cooking at home I tend to grill mine, although once in a while I will dig out my frying pan and fry the steak. Normally like ine plain though so don't cook them in any sauce although do like fried onions as a side to add flavour.

okay...i thought it is the sauce that makes people call it a steak. so, what ingredient is in there that makes people call it a steak? plain meat used in steaks remind me of a pork chop.

Steak is beef - with different cuts being the different types of steak like ribeye or sirloin
