We all heard on the news Manny's announcement that he wants channel 2 to cover his fight against Hatton. Although GMA channel 7 is the current network the signed a contract with to cover his fights until 2011 (as said on the news too!). Now that GMA has aired their side of taking the full effect of their signed contract Manny retracts ehat he said to let ABS-CBN cover his upcoming fight with Hatton. I am getting confused, does Manny Pacquiao thinks this on his own or does he even consult his lawyers before he says something on air? He might be hurting his career and this may not be good for him since he is being idolised by Filipinos and considering him as the people's champ! =(

I saw his on-air interview in the SNN in ABC-CBN last week.. In my own opinion, Manny Pacquiao doesn't have any idea about making decisions since this is his first time being an artist in television.. I also thought that he is not happy in GMA station during his fight or he received less respond after his fight.. Well, I guess Manny is thinking that he will be more popular if the fight will be shown in ABS since it has a TFC subscriber while the GMA don't have a big international station like the ABS.. Popularity is the only priorities of Pacquiao and this might be his reason for choosing the ABS to cover his fight against Hatton..

I agree, he's bad in making decisions in terms. he does not think first if there would be complications before he opens his mouth.

Well I guess there has been some kind of a confusion going around and it somehow put down the credibility of Pacquiao being in that situation. I think his first statement is rather very irresponsible for him to do no matter what he should have consulted this with his lawyers before making that announcement or maybe his lawyers were just making rush decision too. I admire him as a boxer but when it gets to his decision making ability I find it rather questionable. It seems that he has too many advisors inside his inner circle misguiding his decisions. I hope he would not be in this kind of mess again as he might just be distracted against his real fight which is boxing. I do hope that he has learned his lessons on this matter as I think it happened twice already, the first one which is the Bob Arum and the other promoter in the US, which I think was settled, and again here against three networks GMA, Solar, and ABS.

It is a fact that Manny is one of the best boxers and he has already proven that. But personally, I'm beginning to dislike this man. Since he became a champion and got rich, he changed a lot being a person. First when he decided to run for government seat and later his being irresponsible in jumping into different TV stations for the big cash. The fact that he decided to transfer to ABS-CBN because of a big offer, what's next if he was able to win on the election? He already lost his credibility. What good will he do with his constituents? Maybe if he was the president of the country, he might have sold the Philippines to China. Well that is just my personal opinion and sorry for those Pacquiao fans.

obviously, when one of this station is into controversies, mishalf,or anything, you should definitely expect that the other station will blow up and make things in favor of them... and just like this pacquiao issue, GMA7 will definitely blow things up to make them look pitiful in the eyes of the public. in terms of ABSCBN, they defended themselves pretty well putting all the blame to manny, unfortunately, the public's eye is in favor of the champ that they will blame the ... fortunately, you'll be expecting abs to make pacquiao pay by not supporting him in the election... if i were pacquaio, i'll rather run for a lower position and build his credibility as a politician

Well for me it really doesn't matter if the said fight will be aired on GMA or ABSCBN nor he will be a "kapamilya" or "kapuso". What matter is how he will unite all of Filipino people as he fight for the pride of our country. Truly he is a living legend and a hero not only for winning championship fights, but also responding to the needs of his fellow countrymen to achieve their goals and dreams and be proud that you're a Filipino.
