I am feeling so helpless right now. My brother is in the hospital in Wahington, DC. I live in South Carolina, about a 12 hour drive away. My mom went up there on Friday, I could not go because or work and children. He has congestive heart failure and his kidneys are not working. He is only 44 years old. He had a heart attack at 37 years old and had to have heart surgery. He had had a several strokes, one major and the others minor. I think that he has lost his will to live now and is just finally giving up. His wife of 7 years has left him, she told him when they got married she did not expect him to get so sick. So much for in sickness and health. She will not let him see his 2 little girls, they are 5 & 7 unless somoeone is with him. My mom has been traveling up there every other weekend so that he can keep the girls, it cost $550 to hire a nanny for the weekend. My mom told him that she could not keep this up, the driving is so much on her. She still works a full time job during the week. I feel so bad as this is not much I can do to help him out. I will be leaving for church in a few minutes and will be saying lots of prayers for him. Please all that beleive, say a extra prayer for him. Thanks.

I think that it sad you cant see your brother. I will say a prayer for him. I hope that you will be able to see him and that it will work out for you. I know how taxing a loved one's illness can be. It is very hard to deal with. I think that there are many issues that can be dealt with. I think it is something that we can all take with us.

Thank you, he is going to need all the prayers that he can get. I really think that he is worn out and just tired of being so sick all the time. It is just really sad that he is only 45 years old. I have called and have been unable to actually talk to him, he is on oxygen now. My mom at least has been relaying messages to him for me.

It so sad to hear a story like that. I feel for you so much. The loneliest part of life is not to see your children and not to see your family as the way as you planned it. But sometimes no matter how much you do your everything to keep it happy and peaceful things go wrong. But you know when something happen like that, family relationship goes stronger. This time is the time to feel love with each family member. To think that the person is weak, he gather strength from you who's always there for him, though sometimes it doesn't seem to show. I will pray for your brother's speed healing and recovery. For God the heal his mind, his body, his soul, specially his heart, who carry such heavy laden. Let God give him much strength to fight the battle of his heart, may healing power of Gods hands touch his heart to be free of any diseases, let God protect his heart to continue his duty for the greater glory of the Lord our God.
