The kids and I went to an arcade over Spring Break and they had some games there that were $2.00. Isn't that just a bit rediculas. Would you pay $2.00 for your self or one of your kids to play a video game at an arcade?

How good of a game is it? Is it an arcade shooter or a driving/flight simulation game? So hard to choose, but if it was a good flight sim game, where I had to crawl inside and shut the door, then got 360 degrees of viewing pleasure, and the whole thing moved, then yea probably. But if I was just standing there shooting at things, heck, I have a hard time putting a dollar in one of those. But I guess, I payed 2 bucks to play pool at the resort I stayed in last summer, so it isn't that far off. So generally NO. But if the game had high appeal then yes.

There were actually several for that price. My daughter wanted to play one where you could win a very nice prize if you win, but I am sure those things are set up to never let anyone win. I let her play it once, and then she started begging me to let her play it again, I was like not for that kind of money for 30 seconds worth of play.

That the electronic one with the blocks that move across the screen? It is definitely set up to rob you blind. I spent enough money to go buy the prize I was trying to win one day. I figured if I practiced enough I might save 20ish dollars. But I was wrong. It is so so fixed. Same with the rotating movie games... So much time, they say it is a game of skill, but it is not.

No. As much as I like video games, I wouldn't insert that much into an arcade game machine for one play. I actually don't even go to arcades much. They seem to have largely gone extinct in my area. Although, I'd definitely buy a game for $2.00!

Not unless I could get registered nationally for my score.

Wow - that is expensive. These arcade games are getting out of hand. I really hate paying that much and then the game only last a minute. I would pay that much if there was a guaranteed amount of time you could play - like five minutes. Otherwise, it is just a huge rip-off. But, try telling that to kids. They just want to play. They don't care how much it costs!

We took our boys to the arcade and there was a game that cost $2. My oldest son really wanted to play so we let him. It was one of those games where the kids dance. My son liked the game but was a bit intimidated by all of the older kids standing around so he didn't want to play it again. Later we got him a dance pad at Hastings. Now he can play the dancing games at home. He very much enjoys any type of games that focus around music. He likes the dancing games, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Rock Revolution. I wouldn't regularly pay $2 for a video game at the arcade. I don't mind playing it for special games that they really want to play.

I wouldn't pay anything for a video game because I do not like them, but I guess if I like the game all that much I would pay it.
