i had watched a lot of movies recently.. and i wonder which of those are the best in your place. i had watched fireproof, Push, ultimate gift, and slumdog millionaire. and to tell frankly, the slumdog millionaire is deserving for its win for best picture at the recent oscars. though it was really a long movie.. i did watched it last night, and it took us to sleep at around 2am.. it was fine. and the sequence and the lessons.. i wonder what india is thinking right now.. it is so dirty country, as depected in the movie scene.. and that the culture is really being depected as not that good. and i guess the actors there are proud of it because of its win, but then, the moral lessons. well, it is an honest reality as being depected..

Yes, Slumdog Millionaire is a very good movie, but one had more an impact for me in 2008 - The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. http://www.moviecitynews.com/reviews/2008/boy_striped_pajamas_voy.html What made me cry more was a 1999 movie, The Butterfly (the official Spanish title is The Butterfly's Tongue.) http://www.contactmusic.com/new/film.nsf/reviews/butterfly

I totally agree with you, Slumdog Millionaire is a very good movie. That's also the best movie that I've seen these days, and it reminds me of my own country. Although it shows the reality of what's going on with these kinds of country, but still you could see how these kinds of experiences will make a person tougher and survive any adversity that comes his/her way. I think it's really a good thing to look at the lessons learned other than looking at the not-so-good side of it. =)

well all of it was featured and is exposed in the movie. that is now the art of movie making.. sad to say my friend, that the reality is being exposed over in your country.. and it is a good start you know, so that the persons in the chair or positions would take a stand over it.. not just enjoying the show or what.. and you are right, there are a lot of moral lessons we can get in the movie.. but most of it, is being featured realistically.. so in turn, we could relate to it, and hope that it would change yours and my perspective as well,.. there are a lot of lessons in the movie...
