India has drawn the second test against new zealand thanks to a fabulous batting performance by the indian batsmen. What do you think of this result? Its kind of a moral victory i think after being on the backfoot on the first three days and considering india is already one up in the series.

the team has played very well over the last 2 days and totally deserve the draw... well done to guys like Laxman, gambhir etc.... they all played relly well. lets hope they hold on to their catches and improve their fielding and bowling for the next test.

India should have won the match, it is the poor fielding which made India face such a huge target. Sehwag batting was another cause and umpiring too was very bad in this match. Gambhir would have scored a double hundred if umpire did not give bad decision in the 2nd innings. Team was fielding in with weak batting wicketkeeper, M S Dhoni's presences is clearly missing. Hats off to seniors like Dravid, Sachin and Laxman who had faced India from jaws of defeat. But Gambhir has played superb 2 innings and yuvaraj too played very well but I feel Rohit Sharma should play in place of Yuvaraj Singh.

yes you are right india should have won the match the fielding was largely to blame actually the only thing to blame for indias fortunes in this test match. i agree yuvraj singh should be replaced but rohit sharma would not be the right choice since he is not in form right now. and gambhir scoring a double c entury would be the icing on the cake but unfortunately he couldnt get it due to an error on the umpires part and similarly sad for dravid he was given out or else even he would have scored a century.

Yes my friend I believe that although they have drawn the match in the end but this is the kind of moral victory which they gained over the New Zealand team. At the end of the Indian first-innings they were in very bad position. They were trailing by a huge margin and I guess at that very point the New Zealand captain that the blunder by giving them follow on. I mean you do not decide to bowl a gain to our batting strength that India has. And moreover he should have understood that there was nothing from the pitch to exploit. With the bowling attack which he had he could have never get our batsmen out if it was not the mistake by our own batsmen. And that is what happened in the first innings it was more mistakes from rent them the bowling being very great. And once we are thence to the wall we perform much better than the normal which he must have understood. Moreover with tired bowlers you are a game not up to you a hundred per cent and its search quality you do not expect such great players to get out. Especially when they are hungry to make runs after being cheaply gotten out in the first innings

I don't think it is a moral victory. Instead the team especially Sehwag must be breathing a sigh of relief to have drawn the test. Things would have changed drastically if our players had held their catches in the first innings. It is unbelievable when you think that guys like Yuvraj and Dravid dropped catches. I accept that we are humans and we make mistakes but the fielding that day was just awful with 3/4 dropped catches. New Zealand would never have got to 600+ runs if we had fielded well. Well, it is time to look forward to the last test. Hope they hold their catches next time and win the series.

now-a-days, this indian team has become seemingly invincible in the test format because of their latest accomplishments as if now they are down means if not able to win the test match and if they are in a losing position then they have started a new trend of now resurrecting life back into a match in the last two days. Great going Team INDIA!!

I think it is kind of Moral victory. We were sure to fall sort of the total NZ made. Our bad fielding cost us all. Hats off to Gambhir, Laxman, Dravid and sachin . They played with heart out to save india from the defeat.

The performance of Indian team was simply outstanding in the last two day...though the last two days were not worth watching because they were playing for a draw...I did not watch except the innings of Sachin... Any way, the gutsy performance by Gautam Gambhir was the major attraction..all other players except the 'natural' gamer Sehwag played well..Laxman shows why is Very Very Special...
