Warnings, Premonitions, Forebodings........

Ever experienced mysterious situations wherein the obvious reasons for happenings are inexplicable or hard to find? Most of the activities on a daily basis seem to be governed by differently set patterns to which we have no direct control. An idea or a notion suddenly props up in our mind and most of us act accordingly. The end result of such activities prompted and led to commitment may not be smooth to our expectations.I would at times get astonished why I was put to a situation in which a loss was incurred through a guidance from within.Do we not get forebodings or warnings from somewhere in order that the bad event be averted?

Yes, I've had a few vivid premonitions. I mentioned in an early posting that my car was broken into. When I was in bed that night, I had a very vivid dream of people breaking my rear screen in the car and pulling stuff out of it. It was so vivid I thought it was real, but feeling sleepy when I was awoken by the dream, I thought, "just a dream!" But next day, I saw glass on the floor and all my expensive microphones gone. I've had a few what I can intuitive dreams since, and I never ignore them. The unconscious mind is mostly unexplored as we only use about 12% of our mental potential - so I am convinced that we can develop more.. In fact, as a therapist and Zen practitioner, that is what my work it about. - Derek

I usually have dreams before big events happen. If I remember and heed them, I can avoid misfortune and injury.

We do have control over every situation. The problem is that people react to a situation without thinking about the consequences. I never do anything without thinking about it first. A lot of people try to rush you into making a decision because they don't want you to think about it. They know that if they give you any time to think about it... you won't do it. Every sale person is trained to sell you something before you can think about it. That's how they get your money. When you realise your mistake... it is too late.

I think I do get warnings and premonitions alot of times. I am usually right with my feelings also. I try to stay away from those things and it usually keeps me safe.

Oh yes..it's stronger for some more than others. I think it is a survival instinct. I usually always go with my first instinct. It has always served me well to do this.

sometimes we can control somethings by not doing some things dont you think so?but i also agree with you that thereare times when situatiions we cant have control over just happen that is why we shoulkd always pray for strenght to do what we ought to do ,accept what we have no control over and change what we can,
