Clutter clearing is about assessing what is useful and will be kept. Sometimes a person no longer uses or wants items and so these are all are thrown out. Did you know that the average person only wears about 20% of the clothing that they own on a regular basis? Have you got any collections and if so where do you store these?

Imagine a pile of paperwork. A person can sort it through and file useful papers like bank statements in a filing cabinet and put all unwanted papers to be recycled. A person could look in their book case and send to charity any books that they don't wish to keep anymore. A person could look in their wardrobe and see which clothes they actually wear. Then he or she can send any unwanted clothing to charity. I went to a clutter clearing course once and one man had a loft, that is an attic full of things he didn't want anymore. One lady felt she had too many clothes and wanted to sell some of them at a car boot sale. Once a home is tidy the people will feel happier. I hope my description helps you.

I think that is why I live in a small place. To help me keep down the clutter. Unfortunately, I am also good at getting the most out of a space so it's an uphill fight. I do need to clean some clutter out and put stuff away. Maybe I should sign off of myLot and get to work! I do make the most of the space in my garage. There are shelves everywhere.

It is fortunate that you have a garage with shelving. You live in a small place and if you lived in a huge house you would probably fill it with lots of clutter. It is incredibly enjoyable to spend time on My Lot. I hope that you will enjoy your clutter clearing. Good luck.

I have a hoard in the attic. My son helped me to sort through it a little while ago, but we didn't get around to doing all of it. I also keep certain clothes in the wardrobe which I haven't worn much as an initiative to lose weight. They'll be old-fashioned by the time I get around to that, but it's coming shortly! Brightest Blessings.

i just went through my clothes and donated a bunch to my favourite charity. i go through my clothes and my daughters' clothes about once every 6 months. one only wears her favourite stuff, the other one is still growing. i get rid of what they dont wear as well as stuff that i dont want to wear anymore.

It is so sensible of you to look at your daughter's clothes twice a year and get rid of any that she no longer wears. I put my toddler son's old clothes up my loft and I feel I should send it all to charity.

i go through my closet about every 3 months, if i haven't work a piece of clothing since the last time i went through my closet, then boom, its OUT! i get so tired of all the clothes just collecting dust! so i send them onto a charity or friends/family..

So you clear your closet out four times a year and make sure you give to charity any clothes you no longer wear. That sounds very organized and sensible to me. Sometimes I imagine your friends or family are grateful.

my family have this situation.my mother always collections old clothes, books and other old things. From my points of view.I don't suppose this action.Because I think if something lose useful, you should throw out or give a man who need to it.If you used to collection old something, your house will be get storehouse.

Actually I would not disagree when you say most people wear only about 20% of their clothes on a regular basis. I know I do.. I have some clothes that I think well if I throw it away or give it away im ganna wanna wear it.So I just put it up untill I get that urge to wear it.. yea it usually never happends. And then I have thoes few outfits I were all the time.. I need to give thoes clothes up that I dont wear so I have room to get new ones that I can wear on a regular basis.... Its not that I like clutter.. But I like to keep somethings. like Ill get a keep sake box or for instense,I have a large pink tote. I keep comforters in and cable wires and like winter clothes and the sort. Then when its time to go through thoes things youve collected. you can go through them and get all the memorys back from when you saved them:)...
