Hello prowaynie! I prefer using email now. Email is faster and that it can go accross to other places with just one or two minutes. Although, other would prefer the handwritten one, still when talking about usefulness, email is still useful.

I still use post mail for a lot of my correspondence. It's nice to go to the mailbox and get things. I had penpals as a child and teenager too, so that got me used to letter writing. It's getting to be a lost art. I do use email to keep in touch with a lot of people though, as a lot of people don't want the bother of paying for a stamp or taking the time to write the mail, envelope, etc.

It depends really on the importance of the mail. If it needs top priority attention, it should be on a faster medium which would be online email. But if it's from the heart and should contain handwritten notes, then post mailing would be preferred. Though post mailing isn't lucrative now-a-days, receiving one is far more exciting since it takes careful preparation and effort to do so. But I guess the best medium in long distance relationships would still be talking through the phone.

Hi laydee, thanks for take part on this discussion, if it an important mail or correspondce, most of us will send it through courier services, chop and sign to prove it handling over to the receiver.

When I was younger writing letters was the way to go! I rarely send letters through the mail anymore! I prefer e-mail now a days! Just about all my family has an e-mail address and a computer! E-mail is so much faster and convenent! I never liked calling on the phone! I'm so grateful for e-mail!

I still enjoy sending things and receiving things through the mail compared to email. There are times that email is more convenient and that is why I use that on a regular basis. I still send cards to my family members to let them know I'm thinking of them, through the mail. Unfortunately I don't tend to receive many back - which just proves how few people are sending things through the mail these days. Doesn't help that postage is going up again in May.
