First my question: Can you spare $5.00 in the poor economy to help cancer patients? My sister is participating in a Relay for Life. Here's the link to the website: www.poolesvillerelay.org. They have 10 members on their team and so far I am the only person that donated anything to help them out. You can donate as little as $5.00. Remember this is to help people that have cancer. It's also a way to remember people that you may have lost to this terrible disease. She did NOT ask me to do this but I feel that it is a wonderful thing to do and I am very proud of her for her participation. The event will be held June 13, 2009. Here is the link to the teams web page: http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?pg=team&fr_id=12809&team_id=464337. Donations can be made in any denomination above $5.00 and can be made as a one time gift or quarterly gifts and you can decide how long the quarterly gift will last. You can make your gift via credit card, cash or check. You can also donate anonymously if you wish. Their goal is only $100.00 and they are only 1/4 of the way there. I normally wouldn't beg for money but I think this is a wonderful cause and I'm not begging for me. They really need everyone's support to raise money to fight this deadly disease. If you don't want to donate please atleast pass this along to everyone that may be interested in helping out. Thank you to everyone in advance.

I haven't had a look yet sweety but I promise I will! I already donate as much as I can to charity and cancer is one of the things that need everything we can flung at it! It is good to hear of people doing all they can to raise money - I think it means more than the actual money, or imo it does! If there is the option to pay by pay pal I will definitely try to donate something! Hugs xxxx

Thank you so much!!! I'm not sure if they have a PayPal option. I know you can print a form from the site to pay by mail. Camodad has joined the team also. He'll be in the relay with my sister. I would but we don't have a baby sitter for our 3 kids and her 1. I have kid duty. Again, Thanks.

You are doing just as much as they are by looking after the kiddiewinkles - that is one of the most important things! I haven't figured out how to do it yet but I will do my best to get some money there! xxx

Thank you so very much. It's such a great cause. I couldn't imagine not donating when I heard about it. Trust me, money is tight for me too but I found a way to do it.
