We dropped our daughter at her Aunt's and took our son to infant massage class. It is a one time deal. I was sick with my daughter, so what techniques I learned came off the internet. Our son LOVED it. He was all smiles and kicks. That is until we tried to do the facial part. He didn't care for that. Anyone ever try infant massage?

Wow, I never even thought there was something like that? Why, isn't mom's massage enough for the baby now?? Anyhow, what's the difference between you massaging him and the person in that institution doing it? Can it be learned?

this is similar to the class we went to tonight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZ4HPREfBgo Yes it can be learned. There are even courses I found out to be a teacher of the infant stuff too.

I've never done that with any of my kids. I wanted to do all sorts of things like that with my first but hubby & I worked oppsite shifts and the times never worked out for us to go to any of those classes.

I have only heard to rub and massage there backs, feet and arms, I didn't know about the rest..You have a link that would provide me with further information. I will pass it on to my niece who just had a baby February 17..I am sure it helps the babies out alot.

I never did an infant massage class before, but my kids when they were babies got full body lotion rub downs after bath time that were pretty much like massages. My son loved them, but my daughter not so much.
