What do you do to stay awake at work or at school during the day?

Some people have difficulty sleeping at night while some people have the problem of staying awake during the day. This is a serious matter if you're in the classroom or at work right? I just came from a church service and I think I slept about five to ten minutes while the speaker is talking. It's good the venue is large enough for me to be noticed. During the day at work, I really feel sleepy specially when it's early afternoon just after lunch. It's good we are allowed to sleep during working hours. I just have some works finished to present on my boss or to my team mates at the office when they need it. Still I don't have the remedy in staying awake during the day. Some suggest that we can remove the sleepy feeling by massaging the muscle between the thumb and the index finger. Other's drink coffee but I only drink coffee about twice a month. Still the best remedy I see to stay awake is by sleeping. For sure you'll be really awake if you just woke up. What are your ways to stay awake during the day?

When I was a student during my college days, I had classes that would start early in the morning so I had to get up really early and ride a one hour trip to school or so. I try to doze off during the trip. Now that I am working, I try to drink coffee after dinner so that I could stay awake since I tend to be sleepy after eating meals. One time, I wasn't able to drink coffee after dinner so I really felt sleepy. By the time I got home, I really wanted to hit the sack and wake up all energized. It would be nice to take a bath before sleeping since taking a bath is relaxing and what more but, to add sleep. You did say that the best remedy would be sleeping so you ust have to make yourself very at ease while you sleep to be fully energized. (^_^ )

Since I don't drink coffee too often, like you said, I would just plan for a complete sleep. Being sleepy really interferes our day jobs unless we can work and stay awake during the night.

I am not really sure if its really healthy to work late nights as it really deprives us strength since our body really is suited for day activities.. Oh~! When I could look at the sun, not that long though, it gets me really awake for some reason. They say looking at the sun resets our biological clock. Not really sure if it would work for those who have jobs late at night since if one's biological gets reset by looking at the sun, it would mean that their body would indeed be sleepy in the evening..

I usually eat heavy breakfast. I eat two cups of rice along with a dish. During lunch I also eat the same amount of rice. Maybe that's the reason why I feel sleepy early in the afternoon. I see... I have to just take a short nap to have a reserved energy for the day.

Coffee is my therapy, whether i need to stay awake or not. I just love coffee. Even though I'm addicted to it I haven't undergone much on coffee tolerance. So everytime i consume a drink, it keeps me awake and satisfied. You may want to try it as often as you need to stay awake. Its a good, tried and tested body alarm clock.

Dear friend, I would just wash my legs again and again, sometimes I would keep my legs into the water or into a bucket filled with water.

Yes this problem occurs when you have very tight schedule. Just focus more on relax. Sleep atleast for 8 hours. Make your sleeping time table so that you can get proper sleep.
