Well, we did it.

We're moved. Move took just under 2 and a half hours, which was amazing, but I got ripped off in the cost of the move as a result. Wish I'd gone with someone else since it was so quick. But we're here, very cramped, little room for things, certainly not enough room for everything, so we have to continue to downsize our possessions. It's warm at least, so we don't have to freeze every night, don't need the space heaters, thank God. But it's not a perfect area, the bar down the street is full of druggies, so we won't be going out late at night unless we're driving. Once we get set up here, things should be better. It's just hard work that we have to deal with, can't even go to work yet, since there's just so much to do. I also blew a flat the other day, and only noticed it yesterday in the pouring rain, realized last night that it's not fixable as there is more than 1 hole in the tire. So now I have to get it replaced, have to find somewhere around here to go and hope that they have the right size tire for me. I think I blew it because it's the wrong size for starters. Last month I had to replace 2 tires, one was flat and the other was cracked beyond repair and could have blown out at any time. After replacing them, I started to drive downtown, and blew a flat on one of the just replaced tires. It was cold and rainy at the time, just miserable having to wait for a tow truck to get us back so that one could be replaced. But the mechanic didn't have the right size tire, so replaced both back tires with the same size. Ugh, that was a nightmare. I'm living that nightmare again now, with this flat. But hopefully I can get it repaired today so I can go back to work soon, I really need to get back at it, have back rent to pay here since I haven't paid it all.

Wow, you have had quite a lot of activity to deal with recently. At least the move went quickly and without too much hassle. At least you just had to replace the tires. I am shopping for a whole new rim and in the time being I have no spare!

I don't have a spare either, and at one point I had 2 tires I needed to replace, no spare and no money to pay for the tires. It's never easy. But I am glad that the move went well, although most things have gone to storage as there's no space for it here. We practically live in a shack now. But it's cozy.

My place is very small and I have things in storage also. I have downscaled a number of times but I still find I need the extra storage.
