I no longer do it but my son does nowadays! I bought him a small wooden box with a slit and he drops coins in that and we have a small lock too, so that he cant spend the money all the time. I must agree that it comes out to a tidy sum once the box is full.

Yes, I love piggy bank! Now, my husband, baby and I share 4 piggy banks! It is good to save the coins into the piggy bank as we seldom bring a lot of coins going out. They can be heavy sometimes. So, instead of putting them all around the place, we save them into the piggy banks that look cute! This is a way of savings too. Once the piggy bank is full, we will deposit the coins into bank.

I do have piggy banks, not because I like them but because they were given to me as gifts. I used to save some coins in them but not anymore. I save money in the bank now. I also don't like the idea of having to break open a piggy bank just to get the few coins saved up inside. My husband also always uses up all the coins in my wallet so there is nothing to put in the piggy bank. He does not like having a lot of heavy coins in the wallet so he uses them for paying for his purchases or transportation.

Hi. We have quite a few piggy banks in our home (with 4 little ones) and contribute to them regularly. I also use jars sometimes. It's kinda nice knowing that you have some back up money or emergency money if you need it. I also always seem to be rolling money and taking it to the bank. You know the old saying, A penny saved is a penny earned.
