Great joys in tiny packages

Hi all! Having a baby is one of the greatest joys that I have ever experienced. I may have gone through a lot of pain during labor, as in so much pain, that my doctor says that was in danger of having a ruptured uterus from very strong contractions. Anyway, after everything was said and done, and I was already able to recover, I think after about 2 days, I already went to the nursery and tried to nurse my baby for the first time. Since I was still on catheter, the nurse did not allow me to hold the baby because of the difficulty, as only the IV was removed yet. I cried when I saw my baby that the nurse just allowed me to kiss the baby. After a few hours when my catheter was removed, I immediately went to the breastfeeding station again and it was the first time that I held my baby. When she latched on to me to feed, I felt an overwhelming pride and joy and seeing my baby feed from me. After she was done, I returned her and returned to my room. But because of the stimulation, I experienced severe postpartum contractions again and I passed out. But nevertheless, I enjoy motherhood. I enjoy my baby. There are times when I am too lazy to get up at night and my husband bottlefeeds the baby (yeah, we use supplement because I still don’t have much milk yet), but I love my baby and there are no regrets having her. She is such a joy. We watch her expressions, etc, and at almost 3 weeks, she is so much like us in her actuations. She is the little us. She is a combination of my husband and myself in terms of features and personality. She is so tiny for now but she has brought so much joy in our lives. How about you?
