What music do you listen to when you're depressed?

I have problems with my boyfriend today, but that's beyond the topic here. Now, to relieve myself of the hurt, I'm listening to classical meditation music, and it's really amazing how these songs (even though they don't contain words in them) could somehow reach into my heart soothing me at the same time making me feel like crying. Anyhow, what songs or genre of music do you listen to when you don't feel good? Thanks for sharing...

I listen to new age music when I am really bad. I like native indian music as well. Even some with waterfalls or I have a great one with whales and birds. Classical is nice as well but I haven't really found myself drawn to it as much as I used to be. I also watch sad movies when I am depressed which might seem silly but i find it brings out the feelings, I can cry and get to a better level and even, at times, come out of the depression sooner. If you catch it in the budding you can dispell it easier.

I guess when it rains in pours eh.. It's good to get those tears out so that we can have time to sleep afterward!

I listen to new age style, specifically Secret Garden or Loreena McKennit. They are a bit emotional though, they may remind you of your boyfriend :)

If I am depresssed I usually listen to something funny, like corky and the juice pigs, to lift up my mood, or something like Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed you! black emporer or Pink floyd.

You seems to be a very big fan of listening music! I remember when I was depressed I use to listen only sad songs 10 years ago but now I only find hip hop music to get out of that situaion!

It depends on how depressed I am and whats causing it....sometimes I'll listen to sad music in order to get through what I'm feeling...stuff like Type O Negative, Ani DiFranco and a wide variety of other artists and sometimes I will put on happier tunes etc to get otu of my funk quickly...

I listen to a lot of 80s music when I feeling down because 80s music just makes me happy and makes me want to dance around and forget whatever is bothering me. I also listen to reggae a lot if I'm down.
