The highest amount of money that I ever won from a lottery ticket was around 50 GBP. I was pretty happy with that. How about you guys, ever won anything similar to that amount or even more?

50GBP..That is a good amount. Congratulations to you...In my state lottery has been banned for around 5 years. BUt still even before that I never had any luck to win in a lottery. I had tried with few when I was a child. But luck has never favoured me. That is why I do not believe in sweepstakes or something like that even today..

I think luck has a huge part to play in the lottery and nobody should be playing it with the serious hope of it earning a huge amount of money. At the end of the day it is a form of gambling and it should just be a little bit of fun.

A few years ago we won about one hundred pounds on the thunderball four numbers on a roll over week.We were near the end of our holiday and it was a real boost for us.We have won four numbers on the lottery got about eighty pounds in actual fact we never win massive but it is coming slowly instead of one great big lump,we often win five or ten pound a week on the thunderball it is a better game to play .or thats what we have found anyway.xx

I guess that is quite good. You are right, you many not be winning massive amounts in one go but the smaller amounts do add up!

I think most people do only ever win small amounts of money, which gives them a taste of what it feels like to win.

Until last week we hadn't done the lottery for years and years but decided to give it a go after my brother in law said he had been been doing quite well on it! So we brought a ticket, not even one number!! I think we shall still buy a ticket this week, take the money from the choccy fund so even if we don't win it will be a few ozs off my weight as it will be one less choccy bar to buy!! If I win!!! Think about all those extra choccy bars I shall be able to buy!!!

Definitely good to have a positive attitude but just don't count on winning the jackpot - it's soooo disappointing when you don't get all the numbers!

I wish. I won once but it was only $3. I got so excited I went and spent the $3 plus an extra $5 and bought more lottery tickets. I lost it all and never bought a lottery ticket again.

Yes it can feel really bad to win a little and then lose that. It's such a trap I reckon and that's why many people have gambling addictions I guess...

I won a dollar from a scratch ticket once. So I bought another ticket with that dollar and I won $5. I bought another and won $2 and the next one wasn't a winner. So I came away with $6 after spending the initial dollar. That's all I've ever won and I only buy a ticket a couple times a year when I feel like throwing a dollar away!

Lol. At least you got a taste of how it feels to win! I once won a few pounds and bought more tickets. Ended up losing my winnings. I rarely play these days.
