How Far Will You Place It?

This sound like a lame question but how far will you place you alarm clock from your bed? I would place mine in a place that make me rise and try to reach for it. I used to place my alarm clock (I'm using my cellphone's alarm clock) near my bed and easily reach. But I will go back to sleep after I turn the alarm off. Then I figure out, if I place it a bit far, I have to force myself to get up and turn off the annoying sound.

It should be near me because if I put it so far it won't help me to get up like you think because it will make me feel more drawn to sleep lol! Sometimes I can't even hear it ringing if I am so tired. Hehehehdhe

I usually place it near the pillow so that I can easily close it if it rings.

Well I used to keep it very close to my pillow. Because I think that it will disturb others who are sleeping. So I used to keep it really close to me so that I can stop that sound. Sometimes my mother used to wake me up as I was stopping that sound and sleeping again. lol

Usually I place my alarm clock near my bed within arms reach, although it makes it very easy to just go back to sleep. Lately ive been putting it further away to force me to wake up, although the other day i was absolutely too exhausted to get up I feel back asleep with the alarm going off!

Honestly, I don't need an alarm clock because I wake up at about the same time each morning, between 5:30-6:00 A.M.--my biological clock is working fine with me because I sleep also at about the same time, between 9:00-10:00 P.M. Whenever my daughter sleeps with me in our bed (my husband is out of town), her cellphone alarm goes off, and it's kinda irritating, but I don't mind it; she's with me and that makes it bearable.

Hi friend i keep my alarm clock very close to me. I always keep it closer my head were i can reach it by hands so that i can stop it while alarming and get back to sleep without disturbing my sleep. But that will indicate me its is the time to wakeup.

Alarm clocks won't wake me, especially some spunky little cellphone. I usually just go to bed 8 hours before I expect to get up.

I do the SAME exact thing! What a brilliant idea! Seriously. If I put my alarm clock right next to me - I'm sure I'd hit the snooze more than once & probably oversleep & not get up.. So it's definitely a good idea to keep it at least out of arm's reach.

well, i put the alarm on my cell phone and keep the phone on my bed... most of the tim when it rings i find myself sleeping over the phone.. well, in most days i myself wake up 5-10 mins before the alarm.. but when i feel like sleeping more, i keep the snooze on.. so the alarn keeps rings after short intervals.

I am the same..I have my alarm on the other side of the room that way I have to physically get up out of bed and walk a few inches to get to it because I know if I didn't have it set up that way that I would just be hitting snooze and would never get up. Heck there are times that I still want to just hit snooze even with the alarm that far away. I find that I am also still tired until I either get a shower or step out to take the kids to school then I am fine and awake enought to get through the day.

I often put my alarm clock just on the bedstand. And u can guess what happened.Yeah,I often turn off the alarm right after hearing the noise. And sometimes I got late because of it. But recently , I bought a cute alarm clock with wheels on it , and I put it on the ground . When the right time is coming , the alarm clock just runs away with noise. It's horrible ,isn't it? Then I must wake myself up to turn off it.

i use a couple of alarm clocks at various times. i have one next to my pillow that goes of about 30 mins before i accually need to wake up and then another across the room that goes off 15 mins before i have to be up so im sure to get up out of bed "the first one is to wake me up a lil so i can hear the main one across the room" it works for me like that cuz im a really really deep sleeper now days i can sleep threw just about anything lol.

I have to put my alarm clock far enough away that I have to get out of bed to turn it off. Otherwise I would turn it off and roll over and go back to sleep.
