why not muslim volunteer? will the rebels kidnapped them too?

I was wondering why most of the volunteers that go to Mindanao are christians, and they are the ones that muslim rebels kidnapped and ask for monetary or in kind ransoms,as what is happening today, where three Red Cross volunteers where kidnapped (although one of them was released the other day), but still kept captive are two foreign volunteers, also teachers on separate occassion.I guess time will come that no one will dare go near those places to help the helpless civilians.Why not muslim people to volunteer, maybe the rebels can spare them and they can help their fellow muslim civilians.

well if the muslim volunteer happens to be a millionaire i believe that he/she will not be spared. Unfortunately, rich muslims (esp politicians) have small military infantries to protect them. The kidnap victims should have thought of that possibility before they headed there. Idiots blaming the government when the govnment already warned them.

Actually, you can tell that to the kidnapped reporters. But for the Red Cross volunteers, my golly! This is the first time that a lawless group kidnapped Red Cross volunteers for ransom. Who would have ever thought this will happen to the Red Cross which everybody knows is a non-partisan, humanitarian group?

[b][/b]this is not the first time, lot of times already that volunteers especially foreigners were kidnapped, that's why i think volunteers will think twice or even thrice, even their government is considering these factors.

Well I guess you are right about that. They have this red crescent as an equivalent organization to red cross. I really think that they have these Muslim volunteers except that they are not that many of them that is why the red cross volunteers are doing extra effort in helping them reach the needed help. I guess that can really work if they would campaign to many Muslims who would volunteer.
I still think that despite these, we should help them because it is poverty that make these people resort to these criminal activities. If we can just alleviate them to a life that is much better then we can eliminate these bandits

I think will kidnap everyone no matter if you are a muslim volunteer, the question is what will they do to them? Look red cross volunteers as we know are doing their job to help people specially the needy. The kidnappers should have thought of that but they were never spared. Then i guess if thats the kind of thinking they have, a fellow muslim volunteer will appear to be a traitor and surely he will be the first to be beheaded. LOL

i think that if Muslims kidnapped people that are Muslims as well, the government most probably just ignore their demands since their captives are their same religion. and i think that the Muslim would not hurt or endanger their fellow Muslim in that way.

I think this kidnappers have no respect for life no matter what religion a person has. They they adhere to there religion but this is totally against the teachings of any good religion. Muslims, Christians, Catholics and other religion teach of the goodness and greatness of God. Any act of violence to other people is against all religion.

Yes, I think it would be safer if Muslim volunteers are sent over their place. Everybody knows the trouble of being there.
