Can you keep food in the house that you are not suppose to eat? I can keep chips and cookies but not chocolate. How do you handle this?

I do have a habit of sneaking my partners stash of chocolate and cookies from time to time when she is not here. I know it is wrong of me but sometimes I just can't help myself. I ussually end up feeling guilty and end up running to the store to replace what I have eaten. I think there would be hell to pay if I was caught

Hello! We keep varieties of foods in the fridge for breakfast and snacks. It is not possible to prepare everytime we need eating. So we prepare some sweets and snacks and preserve in containers at least for a week.We never depend on foods sold in the market because they are not hygienic besides being costly.thanx.

No I can't. We went to the wholesalers and stocked up on lots of store stuff, we also brought the children some bulk sweets, three guesses that more landed in my tummy than the childrens!!. So we won't be doing that again . Also I am very ok with packets of biscuits in the house and I won't open them, BUT if somone opens them and puts them in the tin, then my will power has gone and I just keep dipping in the timn until they are no more!!

You think this is a basic weakness or just a fringe benefit of being human? Thanks

Hi pat! I guess you are a chocoholic too! You seem to always talk about hiding chocolate and now you are saying that you can't keep it in the house! I can keep in the house, but it would depend on how long! It depends on how my cravings are going! I happen to be a cake and cookie junkie first before chocolate! As much as I do love chocolate I love eating cake more and then comes ice cream! I don't care what kind of cake either! I just love cake! So chocolate might be safer sometimes in my house depending on what kind it is!

Hi savypat, I am pretty good at avoiding junk food. I always have chocolate but only have some when I want a piece of chocolate and mainly it is reeses pieces. I have them one at a time instead of a handful.

I keep all the foods that I know I should not be eating in a hard to reach place, normally in the highest cabinet in my kitchen. Every time that I want to get a treat to eat, I have to get a chair to get what I want. I also limit myself to 2 of whatever I want to eat, so if it is 2 cookies or 2 chips. The constant carrying a chair over to the cabinets makes me want to stop eating these treats. It works for me and I hope it works for you as well. Good luck and happy mylotting!
