Cheeseburgers - could not live without them!!

I often wonder how many people out there are like me and just absolutely love cheeseburgers. I could eat a cheeseburger for both lunch and dinner every day of the week. I prefer cheese, mustard, and mayo only,on occasion maybe lettuce. I just love when Spring and Summer rolls around we can get together with family and do the whole hamburger cookout. There is nothing better than a well seasoned charcoal hamburger. I do not really prefer to eat chips with mine. I think chips go better with sandwiches. I prefer homemade french fries with lots of ketchup. McDonalds and Burger King french fries aren't bad either. Then to wash it all down I prefer a cold Pepsi or Dr. Pepper. When it comes to drinks I have to certain ones depending on what I am eating. I have to have pop when eating a cheeseburger, tea does not go with it. So who else out thinks they could not live without cheeseburgers/hamburgers? Where is your favorite place to get one?

microwavable burgers...are you sure they tast good...I mean...doesn.t the meat that comes out of a microwave oven taste as good as a fresh made hamburger? I'd prefer preparing a fresh one instead of microwaving them...

Hmmm...I have never had a microwavable burger. I think I would still prefer the freshness of the real thing versus the microwave. But if you are in a pinch for time then I guess you gotta do what you gotta do!!

Well...considering that I am trying to lose weight, I do limit how much fast food I eat now, but way back when I could definitely pound some burgers and fries!! Since I still can't really resist them, most of the time when hubby have our "eat-out night" I will get a burger...my favorite is DQ grill & chill restaurant...or Five Guys burgers and fries...or culvers...there are soooo many good places to get a burger. I miss culvers though...I can eat there when I go home to Wisconsin, but there aren't any in baltimore. McDonalds and Burger King are good, but really nothing special...if I had to choose between the two...it would definitely be burger king...that new steakhouse burger is to die for!!!

I agree with you that burgers are not the healthiest food but maybe an indulgence. Although I am sure there are a lot of healthy recipes out there for them. I think I would pick Burger King also. I think the smoke flavor seems more real to me.

hi steph7us, my dear feind, i love burgers and love cheese in my burgers. i love the one that i make on my own at home. i make because my family also love to have and some time its like, having at an odd hour. so its better to make at home than to order. becasue by the time the person will deliver, your urge of eating the thing decreases. so i make it at home and serve. it dint even take much time. i love to have it with onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, a little cheese and love to have it with tomato ketchup and chilli sauce. i make with lots of cheese and mayo with mashed boiled potato, lettuce, cottage cheese with herbs , i mean flavoued herb in it. i love to make and my family love to eat . i prefer homemade fries but mac donald's fries are one of the best. i love them and they make awesome fries.

Sincerely speaking...I have to admit..Cheesburgers rule! Even though I always try to stay away from such foods. Although the Burger King, Harveys or even MCDonalds has been so criticized lately, I adapted by simply preparing them at home..I use more genuine meat (you never really know what they add to your burger at the restaurant) and add all kinds of seasonings and flavors, even mushrooms, dills...seasoned eggplant (this one is one of my favorites). What I say is..they might increase your cholesterol levels but man...they are great!!

Funny you should mention cheeseburgers! Last night I had a real bad craving for some homemade cheeseburgers so I went to the store and got me some real good big wheat buns, they were expensive but worth it and some good expensive American cheese, not that cheap kind where you have to peel it out of wrappers, then I got a big sweet white onion and some bread& butter pickles and went home, (I already had all the other stuff), I thought! I had the mayo, ketchup, mustard and lettus BUT I discovered I had no hamburger! I went back to the store and got some, did the burgers out on the grill and had a wonderful night! My cheeseburger craving was fulfilled, went to bed with a full happy belly!

I usually make all our meals because it is way too expensive for us all to go out to eat. Also my daughter and I don't eat meat so that limits where in this small fishing village we can eat. So I like to make them at home with veggie burgers for me and my daughter and the boys get the meat ones. I like to BBQ them if the weather is good but if not I have fried them. But they always have to have cheese. We all have diary and just love cheese. I usually put the condiments on the table and let everyone make them the way they like. So there is usually ketchup mustard relish BBQ sauce mayo tomato lettuce and onion on the table. I like mayo lettuce tomato and onion.
