You know what, when I think about it, they are the truth, I have done all that stuff. Hehe. You should have heard the story I cooked up and told my grandsons. One of the boys was acting up, I came up with this great story about me being a wrestler back in my younger days. Of course they wanted to know why I quit. I told him I got mad at some girl and hurt her bad, I thought I done killed her, she was in a coma, LOL. I felt bad so I quit. I told him that it worried me when he made me mad, I didn't want to loose my temper and hurt him. His eyes got big, of course they were really impressed. I even made up some phoney news article on the computer. They went and told kids in the neighborhood, I had kids coming up to me to talk about my days when I was a wrestle. Hehe. I am sitting here giggling about it, it was so funny. My stage name was "Victorious Victoria" It was a long time before he gave me any trouble after that. I love being a gramma, its so much fun. My son and his family just closed the deal to buy the house next door. My daughter and her family just closed the deal to buy the house across the street. I am a happy mom and gramma, all my kids and grandkids within hollerin distance.

Even though I've been a nurse since 1969, I've held other jobs in between the nursing jobs. I've been a dairy farmer (and now a crop farmer) my whole life since childhood...don't know if that qualifies as a profession lol, but I'm thinking it takes talent to run a hay baler, corn picking machines and plow a straight line hahaha. In between my nursing jobs I often took something to break up the time off doing something different. (When you're main line is home hospice with cancer patients on their final journey, it can get to you and your soul needs a change if you know what I mean!) Anyways, I was a barmaid/ & cook for a summer (at a friends pub), and then I worked with the last census out in the field drawing new roads on maps and adding houses. I worked for a psychologist as a temp, and as an activity director for a nursing home of severely mentally challenged males. Even when I was working I always had art projects going for this small local stores: painting business signs, logos on their trucks, crafting brochures, duplicating artworks on their walls, etc. The art jobs were the most fun because I enjoy creating, but nursing is where my heart is.

I did that for the first year after my divorce. I really loved it, but one of the guys got scared and flipped out (majorly) one day, I was injured and it took me a couple of months to get back the full use of my arm. I got literally thrown out the door with another resident I was walking, and when we went out the door, we went flying down the steps, the 250 pound guy I was walking landed right on top of me while half of my body was still partially on the steps lol. I'm VERY lucky I'm not a paraplegic or something.

I have worked for myself most of my life as a paint, trim and stucco contractor and then I did painting, fiberglass work and other work on boats for years. I don't like inside work. I have a degree in Political Science, but I mostly do volunteer work in that area. My favorite work was boat work and Wood Carving. I still do Wood Carving when I can. I write a bit too.lol Shalom~Adoniah

I have had many different jobs. I have worked as paper delievery girl and I have been a handywoman in a law firm, but aside from that all my jobs have been with people. I have worked in a couple of nursing homes, in a two different kindergardens, in a home for the mentally disabled, in a home for people who were blind and deaf, in a private home (as a kind of nurse aid), in a couple of different hospitals and in a psychiatric clinic. My favourite jobs were in nursing homes and in an international kindergarden.

Hi marcia, I have worked as a Clerk when I was younger, a computer operator, bartender, cost control officer/bookkeeper, accounting staff, trainer for data analysts---I guess I am more into jobs that require a keen eye for details. I have so much patience. I aim for perfection. I am working as a writing consultant, as a professional blogger and as an even planner at the moment. Have a great day!
