how long does a snail sleep? / myLot

i just came across a question and since it was unanswered i was hoping if anybody here knows how long a snail sleeps. funny, i thought they're just slow creatures. i didn't know they even sleep weirdly.

I saw your question, and I just had to know the answer, hahaha. Snails can supposedly sleep or hibernate for as long as 3-4 years! Normally, they sleep during the day and come out at night to feed.

wow that is something i had never thought of. i know cats sleep about 70 percent of the time! what a life - that is a life i would like to have lol! imagine how well rested you would feel? how long does a dog sleep?

3-4 years, they sleep for 3 - 4 years until the climate is suitable for them. the number of years also depend on what kind of the snail are, and where their habitat is.

Generally, we can say that snail not sleep. This creatures only do rest. when he was alone. It is different then human beings.
