I saw a news report this morning at work about a highschool teenager who text messged a naked picture of herself to one of her classmates. Before the day was over half the people in the school had the picture sent to their phones. Of course the principal called the student to his office, complimented her on her beautiful body and asked her to ride him like a pony LOL. The principal did in fact ask all students to remove the picture from their phones. I'm pretty sure even if they did they probably forworded it to their emails or another person. And it was said that the girl would be chargeg with child pornagraphy. The way people get caught doing cerain things, I would almost think that they want to get caught. Putting inapropiate videos or pictures of yourself on youtube or on your cell phone for others to see is pretty much asking to be embarassed or caught by authorities. Maybe it could be excused that it was a teenager who did this. I don't think any adult who is mentaly stable would email naked pictures of themsleves with an apple shoved up their a$$ to everyone in the office.

'I saw a news report this morning...' Who is more mentally stable? Those who take the photos or the videos of themselves OR the media who inform everyone else about these things thus making people think it's the 'in' thing to do nowadays? I feel progress is ruining everything. The media, television and internet are making people aware of so many things but - no-one is guiding youngsters these days. No-one is teaching them respect for themselves or for others. No-one is explaining why it is best not to do certain things. No-one!

The one thing I do like about the technology of the internet is the amount of information you can obtain. It can be useful at the same time not good. Like what about that one person who works at your job researching on how to make a pipe bomb, or trying to find out were to get any other type of harmful weapons. I do agree, there is so much useless news and other media type information shows like TMZ, which I do catch myself tunning into every now and then. They just like the news, are always reporting some useless info about what this celebrity is doing, did, or what they are wearing. Or wear they were spotted. Its all useless info that has the kids, and any other person who lacks common sense going out and trying to imitate.

That's it - 'common' sense seems to have become very uncommon. If something pays well or draws an audience then it's considered worth it or good. There is NO common sense in that way of doing things in my humble opinion.

Well the part about the principal complimenting her on her body was a joke. But this was a real story that was on FOX 5 news in NY. The principal did infact tell al the kids to remove the picture from their cell phones. Even if the principal actually had asked the girl to ride him like a pony lol, I don't think they would've reported something like that unless he was suspended or fired for that type of behavior.

The exact same thing happened at my school. Everyday has the photos now. Getting caught with them at school gets you an instant detention, but everyone has them on thier home computers now. Poor girl.

Personally, you never know why people do some of the strange things they do, but my thoughts when I first heard this was like "What? How can someone really be allowed to ever try such a thing?" Maybe she did it as a dare, but I guess this is going pretty low. Maybe she was just trying to seek attention for herself for attention she was not getting elsewhere. But personally I wonder what ever goes thru someones mind to do something like this for sure.

I'll bet her mom and dad are proud! Hopefully by the time she's old enough to use a cell phone properly she'll have learned to have a little more respect for herself.

I work at the local high school, so I see teens every day. Most of them are not getting the love and attention that they need at home, so they resort to drastic means sometimes to make up for this. This is nothing new, only the technology has changed. Our school is handling this problem by installing a cell phone disruptor. This will make all cellular phones on campus inoperable during school hours. We are not having a problem with 'sexting,' rather more with normal texting which greatly distracts the students from their studies. Christian M. Archer
