Homepages-friends is closed for most coutries

I've been a member of homepages-friends quite from the start. I've always been faithful to the plan, promoted it it extensively and never cheated (I always used it to search what I wanted). Now I see it is closed to members of many coutries - including mine!!!
This is maddening, don't you think? I was reaching the payout level (20 pounds!!!) and then it stopped! What about my downline there? What about my earnings? Do you think this is theft? Have you eperienced it? And what would you feel if this thing happened to you?

hello my friend, i am sorry to hear about what happened.
I know that due to the economic situation many companies and sites were bankrobed and closed.
I am sure this is the same in the company you worked with, but, and there is a big but here, there are ways to do things.
And this is not the way. I am sorry for the situation.

It seems many companies do close, and indeed this way is not so honorable. Well... I've got about 100 sites I'm a member in that did not close :) so not much crying on my part - especially wanted to let people know about it...

This site is a joke, a scam.
They may have paid at one time but I have been waiting since last summer for payment. Every time you email them they say they will turn over the information to the payment department but then nothing ever happens. I think the email goes to Hellen Waite.
I would not be upset because they were not going to pay you anyway.

It sure does not seem like a joke, and I sure hope they won't make a joke out of our email addresses and sell them to someone... and who's Hellen Waite?

They told us that we could promote the site and still earn on referrals, but before I get proof that they pay, I am not going to have their banner on my site..
I try to be honest and promote reliable programs, so I will have to wait and see if I can place their banner back.
It is not the first program I take away from my site, just hoping the other programs will continue to work...

A good policy - I also take much care which programs I promote. I don't want friends and downline to come mad at me - I'll feel awful about them being tricked even if they won't be mad at me...
There are many ways to earn online, and I believe everyone can find his "gold mine". Homapages-friends is probably not it...

I am also a member of Homepages friends and have a few referrals there... but eversince they stopped use yahoo as the official search engine... i gradually stopped using it... i have more than $13 there... i think i need to check if my country is included in the ban...

Most sites are just like that.There are actually still lots of them still out there. I think maybe that is their strategy that they really made high cashout limits making it really very hard to reach that payout.
I heard that some people really got paid there but i think that is quite impossible. Maybe the site just made payouts to few people so that they could encourage more people to join the site. Well, at least this time ill be more careful in choosing what site to join in the future.

Luckily, I'm in many sites. This site was only a nice way to earn money for something I'm already doing - searching the web... and it cost nothing to join... So not much harm done, since I did not invest much time in it as well...
