How do you wear your makeup?

Makeup can bring out the best features in a person when it is applied right. It can also downplay a person's best features when it is not applied properly. For me, a good skin has to be a good foundation for makeup. I cleanse, tone, and moisturize daily before I apply any makeup on. For a typical day look, I would dab a skintone concealer under my dark eye circles and on any blemishes I want covered up. Then I'd take my big fluffy brush, dip it in loose face powder, and brush lightly on oily areas of my face (I don't pat face powder on my face, it made me look like a geisha). Then, that done, I'd curl my lashes, and apply clear mascara and swipe a shade of my favorite lip balm or gloss over my lips. For an evening look, I'd add a smoky shade for my eyes and an eye liner to define my eyes; and a glowing cream blush for my cheeks to highlight my cheekbones. In your daily routine, how do you wear your makeup? Do you wear it light? Do you wear it with lots of drama? Or do you wear it simple?Share with me how do you wear your makeup.=)

I tend not to wear that much make up in general. I think that good skin is a key to a good look so i make sure to wash my face at least once a day and make sure that it's hydrated with lotion. When i do put on make up i like to exagerate my eyes and make them look bigger then they do. By putting eye shadow at little under and at the side of the eyes and a little lighter eye shadow under my eye brows it makes my eyes pop!

I also put makeup on a clean and moisturized face. I also like to wear it lightly for either day or night. I buff on some mineral foundation, apply mascara, some blush and then, lip gloss. I think the only thing that I can tell apart from my day- and night-time looks is the shade of lip gloss that I use. Other than that, there's not much of a difference between the two. :)

Wow...I love mineral foundation:it's hypoallergenic and blends so well with skin tones.. I agree with you, a clean and moisturized face is a definite prep before makeup.. Thanks for responding!=)

I wear my make up light. I usually use colors that complements my skin tone and that match my clothes.

I would say that i wear my makeup light and simple. I use three things most of the time and that is it. I do wear three different foundations though, it might seem a lot but i just mix them all up and then add it on as i have a very blemish face with a lot of red in it and i can't stand that. I wear no blush, no eye liner and sometimes no eye shadow. I have very big eyes so i do wear brown or sometimes black mascara so they stand out more even though they already are so that is why i don't wear any eye liner. The last thing i do is put a liner in my eye brows as you can barely see them. And that is all i wear most days, if i go out at night i might but some eye shadow on or just something else.

Makeup worn light and simple is definitely the way to go! =) For red blemishes, you could try putting on some green concealer..I've seen some makeup artists do this on their clients..It neutralizes the red pigments so you look fairer...=) Thanks for responding!
