Before my dad used to pay for my fees but since one year he has stopped doing that and I got to work and pay my fees myself. Sometimes when getting my salary I can't figure out what to do. When I take out the fees I am remained with only my travelling money. What about you?

It was my grandad who shouldered everything but later on I had to give my share so its like I had to give him GBP900 for the tuition fee which amounts to GBP4000. Like you, I was left with a pocket money good for a month.

my parents still pays for my college fees. i was never given much luxury in life. my allowance is computed and is always exact. if i want to buy something i have to buy it with my own money. if i want to travel with friends i shoulder my own expenses. personal enjoyment is hard but when it comes to school i don't need to worry about anything. i don't spend anything on school things even though it's a mere pencil, my parents pay for everything. i can study all i want, they will pay for it even if i already have 5 diplomas and a full-time job.

It must be tough for you med. I know I would not be able to afford my school fees by myself as it is quite expensive. It costs me $10,000 alone just for the school fees and the transport and extra things such as text books aren't included yet. I know I would struggle if I had to pay my own school fees and I'm glad to hear that you are trying hard to cope with this. I wish you the best of luck in this time of your life.

Hi Med, I also did that for my study. I did my secondry and higher secondry by my own money and college as well. Most of the time felt proud after doing that as I was not a burden on my family. I also helped my younger brother and sister in their education,,,

I get a lot of money from the government in grants and bursarys to help me pay for my university fees. Other than this I pay for all my fees my self, which are currently £3145 a year. I also have a student loan which helps covers the cost of traveling and living expenses. Overall its a very expensive couple of years, but it should be worth it in the long run.
