Who lost money in financial investment in 2008/2009?

I did lose around 70% of my investments,but I hope in the long run I will compensate my losses.So I'm not in an hurry to book my losses.Don't get stuck with shares of companies whose balance sheet has problems and not other disputes.Try to stay with blue chip companies that will survive any crisis.Then there won't be any problem in waiting for the share price to rise.
