Its always does not work for me to have sound sleep. Most of u know that i have sleeping problem and started many related discussions here from which i have been advised to follow many things among those listening to music before going to bed is one which i prefers and trying this but all times its not working. I have in my pc around five thousand of songs installed, most of them are devotional types which i loved to listen and in many times it proves to be good enough having good sleep.

I have a noise machine. It can produce white noise or 9 other types including a running stream, birds, crickets, the ocean, etc. I can't sleep in total silence for some reason, I have a lot of trouble sleeping just like you. What causes your problems, do you know?

I just turn it on and it plays all night. It helps me stay asleep and when I wake up--I do that often with muscle and bone pain--it helps me fall back asleep more quickly. This one is kind of like it but I only paid $10 for mine: http://www.amazon.com/HoMedics-SS-2000-Relaxation-Machine-Nature/dp/B000F3QG0U

Music never works for me. I'll be so focused on the music that I find it hard to sleep. I hardly have insomnia but if I do, I'll read a book to make myself sleepy. Another way is to pray to God to take my mind off all worries. Usually when we can't sleep well, it's because our mind is too active. Good that music works for you.

i used to listen to the radio before falling asleep... in your case, have you checked with a doctor? you probably have insomnia...they give meds for that... are you stressed out these days??? is something worrying you??? you should refrain from drinking anything with caffeine also...

I tried to listen to some deltawaves while sleeping, but I hadn't such a perfect sleep because the headphones are annoying while sleeping.
