so how does everybody think that the opening week went in baseball? toronto blue jays look surprisingly good, the braves offense are also surprisingly well, and the phillies are 2nd to last place in the N.L. east. so any thoughts?

Opening week for my team, the Milwaukee Brewers, was awful! Their pitching sinks! Losing C.C.Sabathia and Ben Sheets and not replacing them has really hurt! It contines and if this keeps up the Brewers will end up in the bottom of their division sorry to say! Lord help them!

We just moved to Bakersfield, CA so I've been watching all sorts of teams I never followed. I'm not much of a baseball fan but here, I think I'll have to make it a point to watch.

looks like the marlins could be really good this year and the phillies seem to have alot of pitching problems. my team the yankees seems to be ok in the starters with the execption of usually reliable chien-ming-wang i think i spelled that right. the bullpen is a disaster outside of mariano rivera and brian bruney. they opened the new stadium today and boy did they open it with a thud. lost 10-2 to the 2-win cleveland indians. i think this we be another long year for my team up and down up and down just like the last few years have been never seem to get any consistency. at least boston is down in the cellar with them. i think they play sometime soon. i actually think toronto and balitimore are the top 2 in the division right now but it is only 10 games into the season a really long way to go.

I'm particularly happy about the way the Royals have started this year. My team's always been a slow starter, and the offense has been ratehr bad in past years, so it's nice to see players hitting homeruns like John Buck and Mike Jacobs.
