HELP ME PLEASE I need some help on how to toilet train my puppy. She has 2 spots inside where she ALWAYS goes to the toilet. We have a doggy door so she can go outside anytime she wants and she uses this when she wants to run around and play, but when it comes to going to the toilet, it is always these two spots. Any ideas???

Put down newspaper on the spots then once she is used to that move the newspaper gradually, a little each day, until it is by the dog door. If she returns to an old spot, spray it with citronella Prop the dog door open and put the newspaper just outside the door. all the best urban

Will the citronella hurt her??? I have tried the newspaper, but all she does with that is chew it up.

Citronella won't hurt her. If she chews up the paper try offcuts of old carpets. If all else fails try cage training. all the best urban

It would help if you took her our ALOT. Like after she wakes up or if you play with her alot thats usually when my puppy has to go. If she eats alot at one time she probably going to have to go soon after. Also you could keep an eye out for signs she has to go pee like sniffing in one spot alot and circling. When she finally goes outside praise her alot. Just be as watchful as you can. I had a hard time with my puppy too but you just gotta keep trying until she get it right. Hope that helps!

I do take her out a lot and i quite often leave the door open when I am home. I guess I will just keep trying and keep praising her when she does go outside. The joys of puppies I guess.
