How do you think of fellow students who do not pay their attention when youspeak

I have noticed that some of my fellow students do not give their attention when somebody is speaking publicly.This is quite implite and annoying.People should show their respect by paying their attention.It is a repectable social manner.It is common here .I do not know how it is in other coutrises.

I know the feeling. Trust me, I've been experiencing this 99% of the time. Sometimes, however, I don't think they're not listening. It could be the other way around, 'coz if one of the signs that you can see is their sudden quietness during your speech, then you might want to reconsider your thoughts.

Speaking for myself,I do sometimes talk while someone is speaking publicly.And usually I don't hear what he is talking about.I may catch a few sentences but not many.I try not to do this but sometimes I just can't help do this.

Ask them to explain the topic.That is one way to catch their attention.If thy are absent-minded,they can't tell what you are talking.Some of teachers do this and some students find it annoying because this prevents them from sleeping in class.

well most of the students are not paying attention because they are not interested to the topic you are talking of, but i have also notice the students that they get the attention if there are some entertaining shows to catch their attention like special performance as dance.

Entertainment is one way to catch attention but not everything we should pay attention to is entertaining.Actually somethins is quite boring.The thing is that if somebody is talking about something that is not interesting,how would you behave?And suppose you are answering the teacher's question before the class,how would you want your fellows behave?Just don't care whether they are listening or not?
